Drops of Gahz'rilla, last boss in Zul'Farrak, an instance in Tanaris.

The boss this drops from has to be summoned by whacking the gong with "the mallet". You get the mallet by doing a quest line in the Hinterlands.

This will be buffed in 2.3. Instread of 10 Nature damage, it will now be 15, same duration. Also, damage is increased to 39-75 (31.4 DPS). Finally, it is also of much better quality!

seriously this is a good weapon for tanking warriors off-hand since its "OK" damage and its speed is "OK" but id prefer <Screaming dagger> more lol

Is it worth it to off-hand this as a fury-specialized Warrior? I have Vanquisher's Sword as an alternative.

I have a question....Do these things proc as a druid in a bear/cat form?

I have this dagger on my shamans, as an off-hand - I can confirm that it does NOT consume Stormstrikes!! I was pleasantly surprised, so shamans; don't hesistate putting Need on this baby.

Seems like this dagger would be very good for tanking. Imagine this dagger, on a war/paladin with shield spike, ret aura, thorns...
now that would be some nasty return damage.

Too bad paladins can't use daggers...

The proc effect on this looks just like a shaman's lightning shield, for those who want to know.

WARNING! for all feral druids, even though this can now proc while in all forms it will despell thorns which is far better. i got this thinking it would be awsome for a feral tank, the 15 damage to atackers is good when u have 10 people attacking you but sadly sticking with just thorns is far better.

Hunters need weapons with agility, crit ,etc.
Hunter melee weapons = statsticks.
To put it simply. Melee is for rogues, warriors, paladins, druids, and (shamans?/shamen?).
Warriors are too cool for daggers. Same with paladins. Same with shaman.
Rogue and druid can possibly use this effectively.
Rogue is the most effective user of this weapon.
Hunters are not melee. Hunters are ranged, which is not melee. Hunters go pew pew, not stab stab.
This weapon is only good for stab stab because of the lack of anything it provides out side of the stabbing bonus.
If you want a dagger, the demon's deck provides a decent one with AGILITY (AGI).
AGI makes you pew pew harder. AGI is your friend. Melee procs are not.
This is why you do not want this weapon.
It is good that you no longer use this weapon.

Got it for my tanking warrior last ZF, i'd say it's a great prot weapon as long as you don't have a druid in the party (or a slacker druid who never buffs thorns :E)
