This dropped for me tonight and was fortunate nobody in my party needed it so it was a lucky night for me. Put on the Power Torrent enchant and did some dummy testing. Gave me a very nice dps increase and allowed great flexibility for reforging for more Spirit since I needed to replace that which I lost on my last staff. Great value for the performance considering Chelley's staff is going for 14k on my realm of Destromath. Submitted some photos in normal and Boomkin forms. Looks great and scales up beautifully with fat owls. LOL

I'm going for this on my resto druid, despite its lack of spirit. Mana regen becomes much easier over 2k spirit, and going for haste breakpoints starts to be a more worthwhile investment of itemization points, esp if you're rocking something like Флакончик с древним целительным зельем or are using Песня сердца. Assuming you have someone providing a 5% haste buff running with you regularly (Spriest, boomie, etc.), aiming for 2005 haste rating for the 9th tick of Буйный рост/ is a great way to increase your output. After that, mastery is your next best secondary stat, which this weapon has.

This staff is perfect for Resto druids, you dont even need to reforge it (and shouldnt). Mastery will be active more often than not thanks to wild growth making you a more efficient healer over having more mana regen, plus next to holy paladin, druids are arguably the ones who worry the least about mana. And more importantly, reaching the extra ticks from HoTs thanks to haste can be a pain in the ass.

This absolutely is a Resto druid staff. As of 4.1 this is the only available staff with Haste on it, and there are no epic haste offhands, meaning, for your weapon slots this is the biggest chunk of haste in the game.

Currently it is extremely important for a raiding Tree to reach 2005 haste, even at the expense of a little intellect (Especially true for Trees in 25 man raids). 2005 haste is a breakpoint for both Wild Growth and Efflorescence, which means that these spells gain an extra tick at 2005 haste and the 5% spell haste buff. This is a big boost to the HPM of these spells and to the HPS of these spells since they are constrained by a CD and are never clipped. Reaching this much haste is actually pretty hard to do. If I were not an alchemist and had access to Резонирующий алхимический камень, I would replace Андорос, Десница Короля Драконов/Фолиант линий судьбы with this staff until I saved up enough DKP for Возжигатель (which currently everyone and their brother needs and it will not drop). As I already have reforged all of my gear without haste to have haste (and I've even picked up Поножи странника бурь which are Balance T11) this would be my next best option. Additionally, this staff has Mastery on it, which after we reach a Haste breakpoint and have "enough" regen, it is our best stat. I would still reforge the Mastery on this to Spirit.

Just because this does not have spirit on it doesn't mean it's bad for a healer, especially since the introduction of reforging. Perhaps it is someone else who needs to "learn2play" ;)

I'm biased of course, but there isn't an alternative ZA/ZG weapon for caster DPS (to my knowledge, anyway). However, there is Amani Scepter of Rites for healers, as well as the offhand.

There is no Hit alternative for pure caster dps, so I still really think that first dibs should go to Mage/Lock/Boomkin/Spriest.

Feel free to downrate, this is just an opinion.

The true use for this staff, I joke you not, is to be put to use in a large-scale Aladdin roleplay. Imagine this as I go through it-- Male Night Elf Hunter comes out onto the scene, with his pet gorilla at his side. He looks to his gorilla friend, Abu, and asks him where he thinks Jasmine could be. From the side, a female Night Elf Hunter comes out with her pet tiger. (The tiger, of course, would be Rajah.)

The two engage in meaningful discussion and just before they lock lips, the Genie would appear. (Draenei, of course.) After the Genie goes through his routines of wild antics that make you wish you were hip like him, all the current members of the cast start to show signs of anxiety and worry.

Then before they have you know it, Jafar (Human Warlock with the Will of Arlokk) would run through and kidnap Jasmine. Then it would be up to YOU, the intuitive roleplayer, to help Aladdin on his wild adventure to save the woman he loves.

I say this in complete seriousness, for I have a Shaman who won this in ZG back when the instance came to be. The reason I wanted it so badly was not to help my healing, but instead to run around pretending I was a villain from a movie released back in 1992.

The 353 item level version of this staff can be enchanted with Enchant Weapon - Elemental Slayer (300+ item level weapon enchant) for a pretty awesome effect. The enchant will produce a glowy mixture of emerald, violet and scarlet colors accentuated with a smoky white effect to create that subtle rainbow look. Snowflakes, clovers and regular green leaves would also be falling down from the tip of the snake-head. It matches the yellow snake belly and the green skin with the tiny bit of red at the handle of the staff perfectly.

The drop rate according to wowhead is 24%, however having run this dungeon roughly 30 times this week, and it still not having dropped, the drop chance is not true in the slightest.
In short, the staff is much much rarer than wowhead would have you believe.
