I suspect the base DE count is 1-4 hypnotic dust, and extra ones (up to 5) from the guild bonus , which does proc on disenchanting. The bonus is normally 0-2 extra, but can give as many as 5 extra.

But the best part of Bountiful Bags is when you DE a purple and get two crystals :-)

I've had these D/E into Небесный осколокs on rare occasions.

First time I've seen something that disenchants into lesser essences but (non-small) shards. Quirky.

It can also be crafted by Jewelcrafters (skill 400+) from Ювелирная оправа + 2x Гессонит and has random stats.
