Блин хожу в новые героики уже оч долго, был в них около 70 раз, даже дропа ниразу не видел! Как быть ума не приложу, просто издевательский процент дропа! На ауке рукоять стоит 13к+! В первые дни счастливчики нахвотали рукояток, а те кто не смог по своим причинам пофармить - теперь офигевает после очередного неудачного забега в ту же "яму". Пошел в рандом гер за 2 баджами фроста, увидев кузню сперва хотел ливнуть, не люблю я эти данжи танчить)

а зачем пускать слезы? имбо меч чтоли? вон с ребрада с первого боса в цлк 10 падает мечок с сокетом и с меткостью вместо скорости немного в чем-то похуже кель далара, но зато быстрее выбить, а с 25 ки с ребрада вообще бринтроль падает (спокойно убивается пугом). и много есть пух хороших которые дадут твоему келю 100 очков вперед. и падают они не с самых сложных боссов. так что мой те совет бросай задротничать и плакать по этому поводу.

Почему то именно этот меч мы находим в Дреноре в локации Таладор. После небольшого ивента, мы можешь полутать меч именно с этой моделью (во всяком случае он так выглядит когда воткнут в землю), но когда попадает в инвентарь, получает совсем другую модельку Клинок позабытого воздаятеля

One of the rewards from the Quel'Delar quest chain, the others being: Quel'Delar, Ferocity of the Scorned, Quel'Delar, Cunning of the Shadows, Quel'Delar, Lens of the Mind, and for those of you who can't wield swords there are mace rewards from the same quest: Cudgel of Furious Justice, Hammer of Purified Flame, and Lightborn Spire.

This rewards is the one designed for most strength based 2h melee dps classes, and (not exactly and expert in this area) Death Knight tanks.

This is a great paladin weapon! In boss fights a paladin's dps is 1/3 based on normal hits, so the haste is just a fairly nice dps increase. Crit and a large amount of strength makes it a perfect ret paladin weapon. And easy to get also if you just turned level 80, maybe with some help from friends.

Issue with DK's wanting the mace.... you can't get it.

Blizzard already said that if your class can use a Sword, you get the sword rewards to pick from. No questions asked.

Only Shamans, Priests, and Druids will see the Mace rewards, being the only 3 non-Sword-using classes in the game.

Even if you take weapon DPS into account Ferocity of the Scorned comes out ~5% ahead of Might of the Faithful as warrior, based on Simulationcraft.

The result depends on your other stats though, but Haste is quite bad compared to Armor Penetration for warriors. If you're capped on Armor Penetration or use one of the Armor Penetration Trinkets, it's another ballgame. This weapon questline is very appealing to casuals, and many casuals cannot afford gear to be capped on Armor Penetration.

TLDR - Picking a weapon may not be an obvious choice.

To the people hating on the haste...
NB: I'm a retribution paladin, so I don't really care for haste, but I like high damage ranges. And I know that haste isnt the ideal stat, but Blizzard isn't going to stack strength, stam and crit on one item

This weapon is a 3.6 speed where most 2handers from PvE have been 3.5.

Since its 3.6 it has a higher damage range than it would if it was 3.5 (to maintain the same dps).
The haste gives 2.78% haste.
Therefore, the speedup is: 3.6 * 2.78% = 0.1

Therefore, the weapon is still 3.5.

Higher damage range, while keeping the speed at 3.5. Not too horrible.

Dead on! Tier10 is itemized beautifully with tons of haste, and Quel'Delar adds the perfect hasted weapon while maintaining a nice slow speed for a higher CS and DS.

I think most paladins are forgetting CS and DS are normalized, to 3.3 speed regardless of the weapons base speed, so it will still do the same amount of damage for any weapon with same DPS. The real reason ret paladins perfer slow weapons, is because Seal proccs are not normalized.

If a fury warrior had this weapon and shadowmourne, the haste would affect the speed at which soul fragments stack (shadowmourne is extremely slow and its only a 20% proc chance) but thats a legendary and i doubt many fury warriors would have both. I believe that ArP would increase the dps in the combo even more though, but still its nice to know that its not a wasted stat.

Quel'Delar had a minor glitch on the first day of 3.3: On the first day of 3.3 the battered hilt's drop rate was accedentally set to something above about 5%, causing the hilt to drop much more often then it was supposed to. These hilts also would glitch, they would vanish if someone died then rezzed in an instance, also would vanish if they left the instance in anyway. The next day the drop rates were lowered to 1%. A hotfix raised the drop rate, but it isnt as high as the first day drop rate.

I know this because i was one of the people who were lucky enough to get it on the first day, along with two people i know who also reported their hilts having vanished once they left the instance.

But by the time you obtain this weapon, you are quite likely hit capped already. Seriously... too much hit on gear as it is. Haste hasn't ever looked better.

I chose this over the scorned sword for my blood DK. I almost chose Scorned because of the Crit/Arp, but just couldn't get past the fact that it didn't have strength on it. MaxDps has the Scorned sword slightly better than Faithful, however. Hope I made the right choice :0

This weapon is great for retri pvp do not underestemate the haste thats on it.

Death Knights and Tanking
DKs using agil dps weapons isn't a bad thing, but strength is better. Indeed most highend one-hander dps have agil as a base stat, with attack power and crit as an additional stat. Agil adds to crit (marginally). Most one handers with stam and strength (that a DK would actually like) are defense weapons with too low top-end weapon damage to be meaningful (gimping all special attacks). So If you are DW, you're stuck with agil. In terms of other spells like Howling Blast for example, AP is AP; It doesn't matter if it came from strength or from a weapon stat. (But there is more economy on strength per ilevel than AP).

While agil is not bad, it's just that Strength is so much more a meaningful stat to DKs both on raw AP and other abilities, that given a preference, DKs should opt for Strength bearing weapons. Inevitably, this means using hefty 2H weapons with nice beefy max damage (for specials). (And sadly, gimping the frost tree for dps apparently - I'm not entirely convinced of this yet though). But you may find yourself being squeezed into blood tanking for endgame.

Certainly the buff to heart strike in the 2set bonus lends more nicely to blood tanking (6 stabs in blood per runic set, vs two in frost tanking). That, and the merciless lack of +hit on i245+ tanking items, means you are pretty much forced out of DW tanking at endgame (3.3.0) - which means being forced out of frost. You just can't generate threat if you can't land hits, which is hard to do below 245+hit on DW. Another point to remember, you will conserve more RP for Rune Strikes when using a 2hander, permitting each auto to be a RS, and also hitting on a yellow based attack.

Haste is not actually a bad stat either. For tanking, while slower weapon swings do permit you to ensure every autoattack is a Rune Strike. There is a break point on this consideration when duel wielding however. It happens when you're swinging so much, that you're guaranteed of this anyhow (at around the 2sec or less swing speed, obtainable with 2.6 one--handers and Imp Icy Talons). Meaning if you happened to miss an RS (from latency, or loss of RP etc.), the next auto-attack will happen soon enough anyhow.

Demystifying the haste stat on this particular item...
It's no accident either that the haste stat on this weapn, just so happens to put it on an effective swing timer of 3.50 seconds (just like most other 2H dps). - the net result is punishing specials, which are based on max weapon damage.

Was lucky enough to get a Battered Hilt drop in a random heroic just yesterday and won the roll. I thought about selling it (14K gold on my server) for about 30 seconds and decided I have more gold then I need right now. I'm very glad I chose to keep it. The quest for this Sword was very cool, one of the best I've done in this game. I did the quest on my DK and this is a perfect weapon for a DK, it even look like what I would expect a DK rune blade to look like. If you get a Battered Hilt DON'T sell it. Gold is easy to get in this game but quests like this one are very rare.

Haste is a valuable stat in 3.2 for unholy death knights, but when 3.3 comes live, its value degrades quickly due to different rotation. After 3.3, the stat values are as below:

Hit until cap > Strength > Expertise until cap > Crit Rating > Armor Pen > Agility > Haste.

Loads of plate items are loaded with haste, and hardly any plate class desires them. Leather is so much better itemised, every item has 5 stats, while plate is overbudgeted with extra Stamina and only 4 stats.

Not accurate. You rotation depends on your specific sub-spec. If for example, you have a frost subspec and Necrosis, haste is just fine and in fact, is better than armor penetration. Armor penetration is better for a blood spec DK for dps..

Your stat values are a bit off. For a DK, the stat values really depend on your build. In general however....

Strength > Hit (until cap.... which depends on if you use 2H or DW) > Expertise (until soft cap) > armor penetration / crit / haste > agility

Agility moves up higher for a DK tank in this case. The above is generalized for a DK dps build.
A lot of the dps armor has hit built into it so getting to the hit cap is generally less of an issue. The expertise cap can be a bit trickier. As for hit though, I frequently see a 2H DK with 300+ hit and in some cases, up to 500. In those cases, I'm usually helping them lower their hit rating to try and get other damage producing stats increased.

One of the coolest things about DK's is the amount of options you have for dps'ing or tanking. The downside is, you really need to spend a little time planning out a build for effectiveness as you can get considerable dps or performance increases by shifting stats and talents even a slight amount. The Elitist Jerks forums for DK's are a good starting place, but not the end all be all. You really need to have a goal in mind when assembling your gearsets.

What's your class? What's your talent build? What gear do you have equipped? All of that plays into how well you perform overall. And just because a tool-tip or some other calculator coughs up some number.... it all boils down to how well does it perform in play?

I find this somewhat disappointing and a reflection of the over-inflated value/growth of equipment/weapon stats in WotLK. A +34.7 dps gain would have been mind-boggling in the original "vanilla" WoW. It'd also be damn good in BC.

Actually, even that is not entirely correct. There are times that a weopon with higher dps and higher weapon damage will do less damage on a special attact than one with a slower swing speed. There are a lot of factors, but you should know that the inate damage on the weopon itself is only a small factor in how much damage is done. You know that whole "attack power" stat...yeah, it has a purpose. Attack power increases your "DPS," it is not a set amount tacked onto your swing. As such, the amount of DPS is multiplied by the swing speed to get how much damage will be added to each swing. So, in general, you need to consider all factors, swing speed being a very big one, but just as well, weapon damage. It will require math if you dont have the liberty of "trial and error."

If you obtained this before but deleted it, you wont get it back if it dosn't say you have had the sword in their logs, achivment don't count for this
talked to 2diffrent gm's about this, so if it was deleted for more then a couple of months ago you can't get it

Would love to Transmogrify this weapon onto my hunter but I have been hacked and lost it from my bank QQ comment above shows how GM's could sometimes not be of help in some situations, nothing shows around logs nowadays unless its been recent. -.-

Haste is useless for retardins, its a fact. If u need to buff less useless attributes, + ur arp. I had this sword, and i must say it was pretty cool in wotlk times, imo better weapons for rets in these times was: Glorenzelg, Shadow;s Edge, and maybe Wrathful (better 1) 2h sword. Ah, and maybe Citadel Enforcer Claymore in heroic version. So, Quel'delar wasn't weak weapon.I used it in PVP (BG's and arenas) + full relentless set and wrathful offgear makes me really "powerful" pally. Good sword.

I use Quel'Delar, Might of the Faithful, for my Gnome Dk Blood tank - Unstopebble. It's a nice sword sword for a tank because of its strength and stamina.

I choose this awesome sword back in WoTLK times for my retribution paladin.
I dual spec Holy/Retri all Cata so I mogged into every two handed Sword that I held
Now on MoP times, I had to change to Holy/Tank Spec for guild requeriments, so I was unable to mogg it into a one-handed sword for tanking.

One of my all time favourite quest lines coupled with (I think) one of the best looking weapons in the game!

Everyone should do this quest, it was (and still is) absolutely fantastic!

This sword goes really well with Lich Lord Plate unfortunately the set is for death knights only and is no longer available

I ran the Pit of Saron a total of 12 times split between two toons and finally got it to drop. You just hope you never run into the dread "too many instances" pop up.

This is currently my transmog to go with my Holy Warrior CM set from MoP...but on a blood elf female the sword is still so tiny. Sigh.
