Почему то именно этот меч мы находим в Дреноре в локации Таладор. После небольшого ивента, мы можешь полутать меч именно с этой моделью (во всяком случае он так выглядит когда воткнут в землю), но когда попадает в инвентарь, получает совсем другую модельку Клинок позабытого воздаятеля

One of the rewards from the Quel'Delar quest chain, the others being: Quel'Delar, Ferocity of the Scorned, Quel'Delar, Might of the Faithful, Quel'Delar, Lens of the Mind, and for those of you who can't wield swords there are mace rewards from the same quest: Cudgel of Furious Justice, Hammer of Purified Flame, and Lightborn Spire.

One handed melee dps reward.

This can be a good offhand for a rogue, if, and only if, used for fan of knives. (in conjuction with another slow weapon as mainhand)
In all other situations you will want this as mainhand weapon.

The best pre-ICC MH sword for rogues. Quite easy to get if you got hilt - questline is EPIC same as new ICC dungeons. It's worth to compleet the chain even if you are not going to use rewards.

It's unfortunate that this is the best Rogues can get from the Battered Hilt quest. With the 3.3 upgrade on Deadly Poison (extra applications of instant poison), Hack and Slash spec is getting phased out and mutilate spec is coming back in. Currently with the same gear you can output about 1k more dps on single target with an Assassination spec rather than Combat. We will still see more Rogues going Mutilate even with this fancy new item, that is not that hard to get, well maybe now it is I heard they lowered the drop rate on the hilt. Some Rogues are better off selling the hilt in AH than doing the quests in order to get this and changing to combat spec.

That just means you were lucky. It does NOT have a high drop rate. I formed a group to farm the trash mobs in BOTH Heroic instances it drops in. We cleared all the trash with no boss kills 8 times before we gave up. Again...you got LUCKY.

The drop rate on the hilt was nerfed with a hotfix the night after 3.3 dropped - it was dropping a lot more previous to that.

Could this be a tanking weapon under any circumstances. For a Protection Paladin, that is defense and hit capped (without weapons), and has suitable stamina and strength, could this be viable for a DPS and Threat boost?

One of the best reasons (besides the lore and the stats) to complete this chain at all is the fact that it is an absolute unique model. By that statement, I mean that while all the Quel'delars are going to share the model as the sword has tailored itself to each person's strengths, there are no other weapon that share it.

Love this weapon for my pally. Tough to get a good prot/ret weapon in pug raids since there is absolutely no spec you can sign up as that uses a slow 1 hand DPS weapon as main spec. Even had one group give a 1hander to a resto shaman when I out-rolled the shammy for offspec because "1handers aren't for pallys".

This was definitely true when the post was written. Immediately after the Deadly Poison buff, Assassination was far outperforming Combat, but since then, Hunger for Blood got nerfed. Which one's better now is kind of encounter-dependent, so if you have a better set of Swords/Axes than Daggers, you should go Combat.

Another thing to consider is the Savage Combat debuff. In a guild like mine, where our raid's DPS consists primarily of physical damage, it's always a good idea to have at least one combat rogue for the +4% damage.

Out of all the Quel'delar sword rewards, this and the other one-hand, oddly, are the only one that uses the original gold texture for the runes and gem, rather than the Saronite tainted dark blue. Weird.

Um, okay.. yeah cause I had planned on ya know.. finishing the quest.. twice? Maybe even a third time? I might pull an all nighter just so I can finish it a FOURTH time. Oh no wait, its a quest reward. Damn, I can only get this once anyway.
What exactly is the point of making it unique equipped exactly? O___o

If you obtained this before but deleted it, you wont get it back if it dosn't say you have had the sword in their logs, achivment don't count for this
talked to 2diffrent gm's about this, so if it was deleted for more then a couple of months ago you can't get it

FYI: The Sword (One-Hander) can be used as a Duel Wield Transmog for TWO "One Handed" Swords. Tested and works.

A very little detail, but would'nt the look of this sword improve by atleast 25 percent if they made the hilt curve downwards, instead of upwards? It just seems wrong to me that the sword only curves one way instead of like a "S".
Are there any swords IRL that has this one way curve? Maybe that would help me accept the shape of this sword :P

Otherwise a great blade which will probably make you feel like holding a major chunk of lore in your hands. Maybe i will know someday, if i have time to get the battered hilt. XD

If you are a Warrior, Death Knight or a Monk you have the possibility to dual wield the "sister swords" (Quel'Delar and Quel'Serrar) by choosing this reward.
