The interesting thing about this food is how useful it'd be to rogues.

In battlegrounds, my druid can detect humanoids as a class skill, this allows him to at a glance see how many defenders are defending a flag point in AB/EotS, or the easiest way out with the flag in WSG.

My rogue doesn't and frequently stealth to flag points over defended, or gets ambushed because something came up from behind while he wasn't stealthy.

Its not something I'd be willing to pay much for, but it would be something i'd enjoy farming for my rogue if he could.

Useful for finding a mob in a large crowd or area. Just mouse-over the minimap and look for the name.
Also for clearing a room of trash mobs that come to the aid of a boss.
Or in battle grounds, although costly due to the limited supply of the Northern Spices ingredient.

I use this food when mining or questing since I am on a pvp server. Can save you a lot of grief by preventing most people from getting the jump on you when you're not paying attention.

I retired my hunter and made a DK my main, and the one thing I miss from my hunter are those awesome tracking abilities. Incredibly useful on a pvp realm (situational awareness, no one gets the jump on you), or in a bg (can see where and how many defenders there are inside buildings b/f you rush in, or how many attackers are on the way if you're inside defending). Very cool that my DK can use this now. Only drawback is that it takes the place of that +40 STR or +80 AP food buff.

The only pain about these is that you need 1x Northern Spices for each Blackened Worg Steak. You can only buy Northern Spices with Dalaran Cooking Award which in turn is gotten from one of the daily cooking quests.

Sad to say, the best use for this meal is hunting lowbies... after all the buff goes off when dying, so the best situation for preserving it is in a low-danger-for you zone where humanoids roam free ;-)

BTW, it's use doesn't end there as npc hostile humanoids appear blood dark red and hostile players in a pinker red. Friendly npcs appear as dark green and the players of your same faction, in a sort of lime green.

Other useful... Well, use for this item is on RP servers. Elwynn forest. 'nuff said.

EDIT: Trivial thing, but Track Humanoids can be used to find ERPers who do not know how to hide probably, and 9 times out of 10 are horribile, horribile roleplayers in both aspects. It can be entertaining, and at the same time, very painful to listen to them, as they usually do not realise the importance of party and whisper at 5-8 PM GMT.

The only downside to this item is the side effect: you WILL become dependent on it, and PvP will never be the same without it. It has done wonders for my rogue.

This is the most under-rated food buff in game. I created my first wowhead account after 7 years, just to post this.

As someone already mentioned... you WILL become dependent on this buff for world PvP and BGs.

The funny thing is how many people don't even know about it. Still using it in 5.4, and don't plan on stopping.

If you play on a PVP realm I highly recommend having a stack of these on you at all times and any time you are out in the world make sure to be Well Fed with this food's buff.

It is a literal lifesaver. Nothing like seeing two red dots with silver circles close in on you, and suddenly you know you need to bail before it is too late to mount up.

I used to tinker the minimap blips by creating my own artworks for an addon called Chinchilla. Gave enemy players a big red X and smaller · dots for everything else. Nothing beats the joy of having the upper hand from 50mts away and your enemy thinking they will take you by surprise and.. *poof* Invis pot / Stealth / Shadowmeld / etc

Or when a high level player ganks your alt... quickly log on your main, buff with a steak and scour the zone where you were ganked.
Proceed to gank back a completely unprepared enemy.

Want to rain some revenge on a naughty ganker for a few days? Add his character as a friend on his faction, find out the current zone the character is, log back on your opposite faction character and scour the area with a Blackened Steak. Repeat for as many days until sated.

Pure. Concentrated. Joy.
