it seems the plate gear variant is mail up untill level 40.
http://static.mmo-champion.com/mmoc/images/news/2008/september/upgradeitem_11.jpg
it seems there isnt any leather gear that transfers to mail gear at level 40 for the shaman/hunter.
and if what the developrs state is final then there probably wont be any.

For a badge dump it's not bad. Naxx and other raids on both 10 and 25 are stupid-easy, my Hunter quickly out-geared any available badge gear that I could buy.
There's basically heirlooms and 200 emblem mammoth.
I don't see how anyone could complain about heirlooms, I'd love to have me some gear that I don't out-level and have to worry about replacing.

You can enchant BoA items
with enchants that require ilvl 1 item, or don't have requirements of ilvl
and do not bind item after enchant
(rep/profession-only "soulbounding enchants" cannot be used on BoA items).
Also 10% bonus stack with rested state:
<base xp>*<rested>*<shoulders>
or simply
<base xp>*2,1
Additionaly every Heirloom item will change category with profession, for example you can buy Plate shoulders, and send them to warrior on 30 lvl, shoulders will "change" into Mails, and after reaching 40lvl again into Plate.

For those who consider buying these or any of the other "Experience gained from killing monsters increased by 10%." shoulders, I would suggest buying one of the Binds to Account weapons instead. Since the weapons are better than most equialent weapons attained at whatever level you're at, you will kill things faster and therefore it'll result in better experience gained.

Here's a question, could I put Heavy Knothide Armor Kit on these shoulders with my main, and send em down to an alt? It requires a lvl to use, but does not make it soulbound.
Комментарий от
Returner99
"Interesting" maybe, but completely useless unless you plan to level several alts of the same armor class on one account and one server
It states nowhere that you're only able to buy 1 set of Heirlooms. Personally I love doing heroics, and I've gotten myself a set for my Mage, a set for my Rogues and am now farming for a set to my new Warrior.
The badge dumps of TBC(epic gems) also resulted in an awful lot of money for just a few heroics, which I don't think that Blizzard is interested in, seeing as how they've nerfed the gold drops from Pre-TBC bosses. Myself, I was able to farm heroics for a few weeks, then bought a lot of gems and sold them to one of the Black Temple(nobody had gotten further than Brutallus in SWP back then) for 4.000 gold. Which was quite a lot back then.
Besides, when I leveled my Paladin(which is now my main) in Burning Crusade, I actually bought twink gear for every 10 level for it. This is a LOT cheaper than doing that, and I can just put a few Libram enchants on the shoulders and so on.

I'm leveling a prot paladin with a friend's priest, and I was looking at buying some heirloom gear for her. As of 2/14/09, I can confirm that the 30stam 15 resil shoulder enchant currently DOES work
Greater Inscription of the Gladiator
. Just 10k honor, slap it on there with your main and mail it to your alt.
I know there's been discussion of this throughout this thread, but there it is. Also, you can check - Manapause on US Andorhal, she is currently using it.

As of Patch 3.0.9, these shoulders are no longer enchantable with the Zandalar shoulder enchants.
Just bought these and tried to use the +30 Attack power enchant and got the "Target is too low level" error message.
Contacted a GM about this and he confirmed that of the latest patch, the heirloom shoulders can no longer be enchanted with the Zandalar shoulder enchants.

To further expand on this, the Heirloom shoulders as of patch 3.0.9 will not accept any enchant with a level requirement, save for the
Greater Inscription of the Gladiator
. This also applies to Inscription enchants. When you attempt to do so, it gives you the error, "Item is too low level."

But you need to fit the required lvl to gain the benefit, for example last night i enchanted my

and it got on just fine,
but i needed to be lvl70 to gain the extra attackpower and crit.

For those that are wondering how these bind to accounts and how enchantments work here are my experiences (patch 4.2):
When you buy them from a vendor you can sell them back within a limited time like other justice/honor point items.
The item is restricted to characters on your battle.net account not just your account.
i.e. if you have two accounts within your battle net account, the item can be traded/posted to any characters on either account
If you trade the item to another character on your battle.net account (using trade window) it does not end the sell-back timer on the item. If you trade it back to the character that originally bought the item you can still sell it back to the vendor and recoup your points (if still within time).
However, posting the item does end the sell-back timer. If you only have one account this wont matter to you as you only have the option of posting. You can't trade between your own characters by using a guild bank if you were wondering.
If you have characters on both faction sides, they can post heirloom items to each other using the in game mail.
When enchanting the shoulders you want to look for the line on the enchant description that say ‘Requires Level X’. You will find you can happily inscribe the shoulders with level 85 enchants (e.g.
Великое начертание зазубренного камня
)
However, when you equip this on your alt (if they are below the ‘Requires Level X’ the enchantment text will change to red and the enchantment wont be active.
A few of the enchantments to consider are:
Начертание клинка
Великое начертание клинка
Edit: Forgot to mention that when enchanting the items it will say that it will cause the item to bind to the character. This is not true, you can still trade/post it after enchanting it – you can even sell it back to the vendor for a refund if still within the timer.

BOA Gear:
I have talked to a GM and found out the following from them...
Can not be transferred to ther Servers even though it is
Binds to Battle.net Account
You can transfer it between the opposing, as long as it is the same Server
If you have multiple WOW accounts you can transfer them to another one of you Characters as long as it is the same Server
I wish since it was BOA you could move you BOA gear to another Server, the only was to do so is to have it on your Character and transfer them ($25.00 US) to the Server that you desire to have them on.

Anyone know why these show up red (not equipable) for my lvl 20 paladin at the Darmoon Faire vendor? Thanks. Edit: they are described as mail, usable by levels 1 to 80, and other comments indicate they convert to plate when the wearer is able to use plate. Do you already have to use plate to equip them? If so, why the 1 to 80 level description?
