Близзы просто чудовища. Понерфили данный гем до 24 стамины в патче 5.4. Видите ли некоторые личности неодетые недовольны тем, что одетые в эпик 80-й шмот прочаренные и загемленные люди их убивают. Тоже касается и чантов. У моего Ппала для посланника титанов было 63к хп, после 5.4 стало 43. Unfortunately, you will likely be crucified if you expect to tank end-game content without the max gems. (At least I have been-being a tank) Although the 6 stam might not seem like much, if you have 6 blue gems, the 36 stam will scale with raid bonuses to give you slightly more life which could possibly determine whether the raid wipes with a damage spike. It is an extremely costly endeavour to gem at max, (and I'm going broke trying to do it now) but people don't care about you, the tank. They only care about their time, their repair bills, and if you didn't have the extra life to prevent the wipe, they hate you (not their low dps or healing abilities).

Leveling BS up to get the two extra sockets (which I'm in the process of doing now) and ditching whatever professions you've had your whole gaming existance (ditching something 450) for Jewelcrafting 1, to level up to get extra stam gems may seem excessive to the untrained eye. But if you're a tank, or you've ever grouped with a tank (note sarcasm), do you want the tank that is half-assing it with 20k hp, or the one that spent 20k Gold and countless hours maximizing his stats so that you don't wipe.

Just as a pre-emptive response to people who will say "don't waste the money on +30 stam gems because you're going to replace the gear and its not worth the 6 stam." When you hit level 80, if you have gem slots, you're going to put def gems to reach 540 def. If you have enough def in gear to hit 540 without gems, you are doing content in which 6 stam per gem adds up, so this shouldn't be an issue. (always use the 30 stam gems)
When you first start heroics where you have a few free sockets for stam but mostly def, I still suggest investing in +30 stam gems (unless you have a good guild who runs new 80s through heroics for gear-in which case they probably give away 30 stam gems anyway bc they are all tier 8 or above and have infinite gold ok done with tangent) because the extra bit of stam will prevent maybe a few wipes (or maybe not), but you'll have that much less of a chance of getting blamed for the wipe, and therefore enjoy the game a bit more --which is what we're all out to do anyway. :D

Edited to correct the link, but still can't figure it out. Also debating difference between mining toughness and jewelcrafting stam gems.. but that's another debate.

Despite the fact that I hardly PvP, I found this gem to be an important addition to my gear as a rogue. While I could easily use a gem that gives a second stat on top of stamina such as crit, it has been much more beneficial to me to have this gem instead to give that extra little bit of survivability.

This gem fits nicely into any gem slot for gear which is pre cata.

As of 5.4 incorrectly displays +24 stam tooltip just like rare WotLK gem.

The downscaling of Цельный величественный циркон for level 60 in Build 17399 is bugged - its +9 stamina.
It should be +12 stamina. It is not a tooltip bug - I've tested it.

These gems scale correct:
Цельный самоцвет бури +12 stamina @level 60 (WotLK Quest)
Цельный неземной сапфир +12 stamina @level 60 (TBC crafted)

I downgraded all WotLK-epicgems on my locked level 60 warrior to TBC-epicgems.
