Действительно,пасхалка на тему одной из серии South PArk "Занимайтесь Любовью,а не Warcraftом".Ксатит,кроме меча в достижениях игры заложено одно задание: "Занимайтесь любовью,а не войной"-еще один подарок от Blizzard)Фраза "He has no life..." напрочно закрепилась у многих,смотревших эту серию и играющих в wow.В переводе она звучит ,как "У него абсолютно-нет личной жизни!" или как мы называем таких людей "За****"=)

В патче 1.11.0 World of Warcraft в подземелье Наксрамас в игру был добавлен меч"Алчущий холод"в точности копирующий модель Меча Тысячи Истин.Чуть позже в дополнении Wrath of the Lich King"Алчущий холод"был удалён из игры, а на его место встал его аналог"Убийца Всего Неживого"в надпись которого вошли слова(Как и было предсказано Зальцманом)являющиеся пасхалкой к сериалу.

кстати еще кое-что по поводу саус парка:
При добавлении системы достижений в игру, было введено достижение в разделе PvP: «Занимайтесь любовью, а не войной» (в оригинале «Make love, not warcraft»(название серии про варкрафт)), получить которое можно обняв мертвого врага, пока его дух не отлетел от тела.

A reskin of The Hungering Cold. Arguably the best pre-BC Tanking weapon next to Thunderfury.

'Foretold by Salzman' is a reference to a prophecy Salzman from Accounting made from the South Park episode "Make Love, Not Warcraft".
The same weapon model was also used in the episode for the fake legendary item "The Sword of a Thousand Truths"

Nice looking weapon, which now suits also for Paladin tanking, as some Paladin skills benefit from high weapon damage.

Also Paladins will gain +33 str and +60 stamina from this with talents, which match +66 AP and 18 spell power... without any enchants... so... there might be arguments who will get this ...

Actually, thanks to Hammer of the Righteous, Paladins can make amazing use of true tanking weapons instead of having to fight a caster for a mace or sword. Also, because of Touched by the Light, they won't NEED to have a spell power weapon, since the sheer amount of stamina on tanking gear is going to provide them with enough spell power to generate ample threat.

Sorry warriors, but looks like you're going to have more than just other warriors to compete against when it comes to tanking weapons now, not just because of Death Knights, but Prot-adins as well. :P

Previously, there was a post here invoking the Elitist Jerks theorycrafting forums as proof that DW DK tanking is a good idea.

From the summary post of the linked thread:

There are no dual-wielding specs that generate comparable threat to 2-hand tanking while retaining other essential tanking talents. There are also serious parry-hasting concerns that currently render DW tanking inferior to 2H tanking.

You don't need to take the word of the first post that summarized the whole thread over, say, comments cherry-picked from individual later posts that have been refuted. Elsewhere on EJ, someone has done the math.

Dual-wield tanking isn't more threat with or without expertise, it isn't safer with or without expertise, and if you are dual-wielding you are wasting the time of your raid and causing unnecessary wipes. Anecdotal evidence doesn't change this.

well you kinda need the dodge rating. the whole point though is if your going to DK tank stack your mitigation and avoidance like your life depends on it. two of these bring my dodge up to a whopping 22% chance. if your 10 manning and your a DK tank, mitigation is the way to go, hence this.

I just picked this up last night as a replacement for the Red Sword of Courage. First, as this post shows, it's slightly better for a tank. Second, it looks much cooler. It has a very subtle frost effect around it. And when sheathed, as the picture shows, it goes on your back not your hip like the Red Sword of Courage.

2 reasons DK should roll this: the haste bonus frost spec gives will make aggro generation psycho with this. #2: Combined with Broken Promise, this thing will make all the other tanks envy you and you leetness. Make sure to get tanking t7 though, otherwise you look like a moron. Or an unholy DK. The difference is minimal.

really nice sword for a lvl 80 tank, if you are a death knight like myself and cant use a shield listen up.

U can run naxx until u get the sword 2 times then equip them both cause its a one hander thats what i did.

I have a question. How and why is this better than Red Sword of Courage? Seriously, i don't know. For tanks not lacking in dodge i don't think this should be an option. Red Sword of Courage has more hit, def and stamina.

Maybe you're saying this is better because of the 1.5 swing time and more strenght, which helps a bit on threat generation (is it that BIG difference everyone's talking about?). And the stamina not being that superior on Red Sword, makes the 0,66% dodge better. Maybe, but, still, i have 22% dodge, don't think i need more. Rather have +2sta then +0,66% dodge, that is, when i have a bunch of dodge already.

I've read a bit about this "fight" but nothing that made me change my mind.

Hoping to get an answer soon.

I Have a Death Knight tank with 28.16% dodge and 27.19% parry(with blade barrier)
I use a 2H for tanking because of the rune of the stoneskin gargoyle being 25 true defense, I can get a lot more avoidance out of my gear.
Even though others may argue against tanking with a 2H weapon; I think it makes it worth it over the little amount of dodge and parry you can get with 1H weapons granted even with a 2% parry(and or dodge)rune on both weapons. Just my two cents you can't over do it on avoidance unless you are at 100%
(: not to mention-except on malygos-threat generation in WotLK is a joke.

When it comes down to choosing which is better in the tussle of Red Sword of Courage and this item, either one could be used. Slayer of the Lifeless may be better for someone completely naxx geared and has enough def over cap to be able to put more points into other things. While those just starting on raid gear may prefer the Red Sword of Courage because those last few points could be the only thing keeping them defense or hit capped. It all depends on what else you have and balancing which would just be extraneous and what would be an improvement for your personal and individual case.

EDIT: Red Sword of Courage is now hands down better than Slayer of the Lifeless which is kinda weird being that it drops from a Heroic where as Slayer drops from a Raid.

This is an exelent weapon for DK tank, (x2) is really imba. A Warrior tank in our guild got x2...for fun, none needed so the gm(guildmaster) gave it to him. and if you see a tank DK with x2 of this, you will see some imba tanking ;D

With the coming of Transmogrification in 4.3, this sword might make a return to Frost DKs and Tanks. I personally organized Naxx10 runs just to obtain this on my tanking warrior, and most people had no clue what the sword was, or how good it looked until it dropped.

Key notes about it:
*Sheaths on the player's back
*Was in the South Park episode "Make Love, Not Warcraft"
*Drops ONLY in Naxx10, from Gluth (who shares everyone's drop pool) and Gothik

If you're seeking the sword, I'd recommend forming a group to get it before 4.3, when people start getting hungry for these unique looking weapons. This will stand out more so than the Burning Crusade weapons people seem to be farming.

For fellow DKs who are planning to farm this for transmogrification, Gothik can be soloed very easily in blood spec.
However, make sure you bring along some form of invisibility (potions etc) to bypass Razuvious.

Got it on my 4th kill, didn't know it sheaths to my back until I transmogged it, which makes me love it even more

I was farming this sword because of this episode. I thought that I MUST have it! If you are farming it like I was, note that this sword does NOT drop from Naxx 25 man. It drops from the Naxx10 mode only, so don't waste your time on Naxx25 if you wanna get the "Sword of a Thousand Truths". You gotta love Blizz's sense of humor because the sword looks exactly like the one that Stan has in South Park and I love that "Foretold by Salzman".

Might I point out, there is not a single Death Knight who should have this weapon. Seeing as the tanking Death Knights use two handed weapons, this does not go to them. Now for those of you who say, "FROST BRU"! WHAT BOUT FROST"! No, no, do Frost Death Knights need Dodge rating? Nope. Do they need the abominable amount of damage it puts forth? Hell no. Far better off without it. Same for those of you who use one handers in Unholy. In fact, Unholy is better off with two handed weapons. Go grab Shadow's Edge, or Shadowmourne if you are awesome enough. But this weapon DOES go to The Prot Warriors and Prot Pallies. But DKS can still use this for transmog. Happy hunting, friends :)

if you have seen the southpark episode -make love not warcraft-
the the episode they used the hungering cold to kill the player who has no life, now, This sword is known as
the slayer of the lifeless, kinda funny it literaly slayed the lifeless,

its a good sword, not hard to get, there IS a difference betwene this one and the hungering cold, This one sits on your back where as the hungering cold sat on your hips/ sides

It says it can only be dropped to a DK,Pally, and Warriors. So Monks cant get it? :o Someone please answer :D

I have been farming 10m Naxx for 3 months now, every week, Gluth and Gothik, and havnt seen Slayer of The Lifeless, does it still drop, lol i mean seriously, everything else has dropped atleast 1 time, but I have yet to see SotL!

I've farmed this now for about 5-6 weeks. No drop so far. I was wondering if Убийца всего неживого has really low drop rate or if my luck just have run out. Is this a rare drop?

Had to make WoWHead account just to share my story. First run on my lock, dropped from Gluth. I am beyond happy. Don't give up hope if you guys are running by this with no luck, the sword of a thousand thruths WILL DROP! It's the only way to kill he who has no life.

The Sword of a Thousand Truths still drops. 6/12/14 @ 346AM on Gothik, second solo run with my Prot Warrior. Don't give up!

Trying to get this one for the lols, not having too much luck so far. Granted, I've only done it twice.
Would be great if I could just farm Raz + Gothik over and over, but I have to wait a week between each attempt. :/
(Ended up getting Accursed Bow of the Elite from Raz on the second run, which is same drop rate as this sword, ironically. But it's also something I'll never be able to use.)

So, I have a story about this sword. Once, back in 2006, my family and I were watching South Park. A new episode came on, called "Make Love, Not Warcraft". The episode itself was really funny, but the real thing that caught my sister, brother, and I's attention was the game they were referencing. My sister wound up looking up the game the next night. Needless to say, we were already past the point of no return.

I've been trying to farm this item for 3 months on 2 alts that can use swords and it still hasn't dropped, theres no way this is 18%.
I'm starting to think its bugged or missing or doesn't drop on Normal 10 mode like everyones saying it does.

As a DK, especially for Frost, I think this weapon itself is more precious than all of the artifact skins combined.

Does not show up in the raid journal when looking at the loot for all of naxxramas, both 25 and 10 man. ? so does it still drop off gothik and gluth?

As of 14/04/18 I can confirm this still drops from the 10 man version of Gothik, cannot confirm it still drops from Gluth since I did not receive it myself from him but I would think it still does and it is simply not showing in the dungeon journal.

i came on to wowhead to see the drop chance of this weapon because it was featured in the south park episode i was wondering if it had a low drop rate like the tusk of mannoroth but nope 20%. i must be really unlucky because i have killed him over 25 times and i have never seen this sword drop.

Confirming that it drops off Gluth still as of this comment. 10man Naxx. I have been mistakenly farming 25man for months and didn't realize it didn't drop in 25man (or at least I've been extremely unlucky because I would clear out 25man Gothik and Gluth on 9 of my characters that could equip 1h swords).

Just got this (finally, close to 30 kills) tonight off of Gothik. So it still drops as of 8.2.

I can confirm that it drops yet in Patch 10.1.5. I got mine from Gluth (was farming it like hell), didn't expect it to be honest to be a drop from Gluth.
