To get the Northren recipe, it is a quest distributed from Rollick Mackreel <Grand Master Cooking Trainer> at Valiance Keep in Borea Tundra. Whether you have the quest or not, you need to kill the Rhino's in Borea Tundra and collect 4 Chilled Meat. Bring the meat to Rollick and you can still collect the quest and turn in the meat at the same time to collect the recipe. I just did it with my DK this morning for the first time of getting the recipe. Pretty easy to do.

Before you can complete the daily quest in Dalaran you need to get the recipe for Northern Stew from Thomas Kolichio in Vengeance Landing, Howling Fjord.
He will give you a quest, asking for 4 Chilled Meats, once you give him the items you will recieve the ability for Northern Stew, after that you can cook and complete your daily quest in Dalaran.

For all of you that havent figured out how to get the recipe for { Northern Stew }, well here is the Right ansewer. If your doing the cooking { Convention at the legerdemain } or you just want to learn the recipe u need to collect 4 chilled meat and take them to Valiance Keep in Boren Tundra and talk to Rollick Mackreel he is located at cords 57.7 - 71.1 except the quest and complete it he will reward you with the recipe Northern Stew. enjoy :)

You will need this quest to finish the Doloron Daily. Brom Brewbaster in Valgarde, Howling Fjord. 58.24-62.12 gives the quest Northen Cooking.

Rollick Mackreel is in Valiance keep in Borean Tundra, in NorthRend, up on the hill, in the kitchen, in the Inn. He is not in a tent, or out in the open. This is as of May 1, 2013. He wants you to bring him four chilled meats, and he will then give you the recipe.

For horde, go to warsong, lowest level using elevator then hard left down the ramp to the circle, look left at 41,54 orn tenderhoof with a quest which is simply four chilled meat. You can bring the meat before getting quest and it will give you credit and reward the recipe into your cooking book without the need to learn. So don't look for the recipe in your bag, it's on the cooking list already :D

Rollick MacKreel is located, for those TomTom users, at 57.93 71.55. Bring 4 Chilled meats to him first. Sucks opening your bag after a long trip to find out you haven't one...How do I know? ugh...
