i don't know if this is a stupid question - but isn't this as much a warrior tanking item as a paladin item? i can't seem to find any other plate chests among the new items in 2.3 (at least not for tanking). This would be a huge upgrade to what i'm wearing now due to the stamina, dodge and defense.

So am i right to assume that Bliz made this for both warriors and paladins ?

On other things, for the ppl that dont know what Stoic is:

With the addition of the new 2.4 badge gear and the Chestplate of Stoicism, this chest piece lost some it's luster, Warriors who invested in it will likely go for the new one, but for Paladins this is still the premier Main Tanking piece until the T6 piece.

The spell damage and dodge rating alone makes it worthwhile, as most things pre-kara only offer block rating rather than dodge. And the spell damage adds to the much needed threat generation for a Paladin. Combing this with the new 2.4 Paladin pants and boots, a few stamina gems, along with 2.3 warrior belt and cloak and it's easy to keep your uncrushability and Uncrittability while keeping you spell damage well over 450.

There's an 'unofficial' DPS and Tank set in Zul'Aman you can collect if you are looking for matching armor. Sadly it is not a tier set, but cosmetically these pieces go together.
