I pity you all. Unless it says "Class:______", i'm about posotive it can go to ANY CLASS that can wield one-handed swords. Does it pertain to ANY CLASS that can wield one-handed swords? No.

Druids - Can't use swords.
Hunter - Won't benefit much from it. Still could actually benefit from it though i believe.
Mage - Could really easily benefit from it. The spell damage is gargantuan if you ask me. Not to mention the crit and spell hit.
Paladin - Could easily benefit from it. For Holy (Damage) spec, or Protection tanking.
Priest - (Shadow) Could benefit from it. The crit chance isn't as high of importance, with only 2 shadow spells than can crit i believe (Mind Blast and Shadow Word: Death).
Rogue - Won't benefit.
Shaman - Can't use swords.
Warlock - Would benefit nearly as much as a mage. Even moreso if they were Destruction, as they could take advantage of the Spell crit.
Warrior - Won't benefit.

Please, don't even say what class gets priority.

Stop the class discussion, it's an weapon that many classes can make use of, including Warlocks,Mages and eventually an paladin that doesn't like to heal.
Very nice weapon,the graphic makes me melt!
@to Khaosreign: Why isn't it a warlock weapon? we benefit from the stamina, the intellect, the spelldmg, the hitrating, and the crit rating is good in some situations, either if you are Destruction (depnedant of crits), also most warlocks use shadowbolt/incinerate when they got all dot's up, and that means you could have use of it.

It's obvious that in the same level spell weapons the off-hand is so bad that stuff is better than one hand.
You can see it in Arena Rewards easily,and the stuff is cheaper.

Does anyone else not particularly like the graphic for this? I mean yes its distinctive and I understand the chaotic look but it just looks sloppy and a bit over the top in the pictures provided. I must say blizzards models have gone down a bit (im not a fan of really any of the tier 6 armor)

This item is actually way off-budget. It actually comes out to ilvl164 (!!), a full 13 ilvl's above the listed, which partly explains why this blows the Naj'entus dagger (which is right on the mark, ilvl141) out of the water as much as it does. Spriests, elemental shammies, and doomkin everywhere lament at our lack of a comparable weapon :/

Since it hasn't been mentioned, this item matches the theme and look of warlock tier 5. This is just in looks mind you, any class can use it.

The screenshot is a Tempest enchanted with Sunfire, it doesn't glow like that by default.

This sword appears to be best Caster weapon currently in game in light of stats.
Annoying is that it seems to aling with Warlock tier 5 Armor set, while Paladin equalent gives only superior boost to healing, which is useful for many clases.

For some reason I am starting to hate that one class is favored above others and that class is dances with demons in pale moonlight.

Actually the best dps increase stat after hit rating is haste rating so after someone have 30%~ self buff crit and hit cap, increasing the haste rating is the wisest choise. Zhar'Doom can outdps Cronicle of secrets and Tempest of chaos for the simple reason that when u get those two things you are already far from hit capped. Haste rating all the way.

as of the screenshots the warrior sword is = s3 one handed sword
mage is s3 spell blade
the shammy one are the fists of fury the new 2.4 set

This weapon now has a superior in the form of Sunflare which drops from Kil'jaeden and has dropped 2/3 times in the first three kills which leads us to believe it may have a good drop rate.. or Blizzard just teasing casters.

Give this to a pali tank and take bets on how many of your mages and locks /gquit. This really should go to a Destro lock since they need to cap their spell hit without talents, or a fire mage since they only gets 3% hit from talents.

Pali tanks have lots of options, like the 1h mace that drops off of trash in the same instance, Hammer of Judgement, instead of waiting for a highly coveted Mage/Lock drop off of arguably the hardest boss before Sunwell (imo the unforgiving nature of the Archimonde encounter coupled with the high level of randomness makes it a tougher encounter than Illidan or anything else before Sunwell for that matter). Palis can also get the Amani Punisher from ZA.

The Hammer of Judgement even matches the Pali t5 set if that gives you any sort of hint about a class that might benefit from it. The same way that this sword matches the Lock t5.

And Spell Hit rating is a great threat stat for Pali tanks, btw.

if you give this to a caster and the pali is still using his old weapon, the casters will rip the mobs off of him because of the threat, think of the good of the raid in whole, not the good of the caster

Tell more lies please. "rip the mobs off of him" because the pali is using the trash mace and a lock is using this weapon. Yeah right.

That's exactly what I'm saying. As far as alternatives go, the hammer will drop 100x off of trash before you see one of these, the hammer being a weapon that locks and mages can't even use, and this sword won't make or break any pali's TPS when compared to the hammer. I think that every single caster in our guild that can can equip maces have one of the trash hammers laying around, even our holy priests and resto druids.

This sword is an upgrade for any mage/lock not in Sunwell or sporting OP Brutal Gear, period. For Palis this sword is more of a sidegrade and would be most useful if you enchant it with Soulfrost and equip it while standing around in shatt in order to tick off all of the mages and destro locks who don't have it.

This sword is the best pally tanking weapon in the game other than the S4 gavel. Whether you should prioritize giving it to them over mages and warlocks is not relevant to the discussion here and is up to the individual guilds. Plenty of guilds have gotten more than enough ToC drops to give one to everyone who wants it. So any posts here regarding the argument are going to continue to get rated down and deleted, because it's pointless and stupid.

So I thought I'd just throw this out there: as of the changes in 3.0.2, this is a viable healing weapon and as such I just spent DKP to obtain it. It's not a huge upgrade over the Hammer of Atonement however it is a higher +spell power weapon with crit (which is what I happen to be low on given the haste in Sunwell. For all you casters out there, don't worry. I didn't "ninja" it from a mage or a lock. All the caster dps in the raid had sunwell weapons.

As of 5.2 this sword can finally be transmogged to any 1 handed sword(not sure about other weapon types). But this means my warlock can finally use it for transmog, since it's no longer classified as a main hand weapon!
