This is fantastic chest armor for hunters. Socket these with all red +attack power gems (yes, even the blue slot. Ignore the socket bonus) and you'll have a higher DPS armor than Demon Stalker and Rift Stalker. The tiered armor will make up for the lack of DPS with other stats, but Felstalker is the way to go if you want to maximize it.

I made this a couple of weeks ago for my newly 70 Hunter. I'm submitting some screenshots today of the full set.

I socketed with Bright Blood Garnets after spending awhile trying to find a JC to make Bright Living Rubies. Luckily I found the only Alliance JC with the pattern for Solid Star of Elune so all my blue sockets in the set have the +12 Stamina. I understand that many would ignore the bonus and go for AP, but with the lack of Stamina on the set and my other gear I couldn't pass up the 490 hit points with the Solid Stars and bonus.

For someone who rarely gets to run instances and will likely never raid there are few superior alternatives. Well balanced and attainable with some persistence. I'm a happy Hunter.

Update: Now requires 360 leatherworking rather than 350, contrary to what is indicated above.

OK, to clear up one common misunderstanding about this and many of the other bits of leatherworking gear:

They do *NOT* require 350 leatherworking to wear. They only require 350 leatherworking for the *set bonus*.

And according to the in-game tooltip it's currently 350 lw for the bonus, as shown above, not 360.

Leatherworkers considering making these to gain skill points, and selling for profit: do not be fooled by the 300g suggested buyout price listed here.

I have been trying to sell them for lower and lower prices, for 5 days now, and noone even bids on them for 130g.

Edit: Finally sold one for 195g, and the other was bidded on for 135g.
