As any other profession-bag (e.g. Bag of Jewels, Bag of Many Hides, Mycah's Botanical Bag , Reinforced Mining Bag etc.), it is unique-equipped in the inventory but not in the bank, you can place as many as possible of it in the bank slots.

Note that you can't replace a normal container with any profession-bag if there is already one of the same type in the bank.
You'll have to clear the bag slot first in order to place it in there.

As of 2.3, it holds motes and primals.

It's most likely a bug, or all the bags do it and I'm unawares.

Yes, All Primals and Essences also fit in enchanting bags now. I bought one last night for my disenchanting alt off the AH for 150 gold just to stick non-standard enchanting mats in it. You can also include Ichor's of undeath, elemental fire, and elemental earth.

Elemental air WON'T go in them.

Ye wouldn't really farm the mats for these as I see it-
If your an enchanter you'll come by the Greater Planar Essence easy enough,
If you happen to be a tailor as well; which alot of enchanters are it seems;
Then ye just collect your cloth every four days and you will have it before you know it.
The 4 Netherweb Spider Silk is the only thing on this list I would take as something you would have to go out of your way to farm or buy on the AH.
To me this is just somehting you get in the background of day to day grind.

Just to clarify on what CAN be placed in an enchanting bag:
Enchanting Rods
Enchanting Formulas.
Enchanting Materials.
Primals and Motes.
Primal Nethers.
Essences and most Elementals. (What can be placed and what can't in this category is based strictly on if its required for an enchanting formula.)

Nether Vortexes cannot be placed in here.

I think this is quite doable for many people and not quite as difficult or time consuming as one might think. I got a great start on mats in Karazhan. There I was able to farm the Netherweb Spider Silk, Netherweave Cloth and Arcane Dust all in one pass of an instance (and not even the whole instance).

I don't think my lvl 90 was ever in Karazhan before and he got in by going to the gated entry near the summoning stone and just clicking on the iron gate. No weird extra quests about 3 parts of a key, yada, yada, were ever needed. After entering I started with the Coldmist spiders in the servant quarters. I used multi-shot so it was hard to know how many I hit but I think it was only 10-20. I got 8 Netherweb Spider Silk from that pass though. That was all I originally wanted to get but I decided on a whim to explore a little more so went to the ballroom and dropped too many ghost like people to count. Those ghosts dropped a lot of netherweave cloth and green items. After that the spiders respawned, so I went back there for seconds on my way out. I also dropped a couple of bosses including Midnight. I'm thinking for someone in a hurry (and not sightseeing like me) this could be done in about 20 minutes.

I mailed the proceeds to my lvl 70 mage-tailor-enchanter and he ended up with:

17 Netherweb Spider Silk
81 Netherweave Cloth (most of the 90 needed to make the bag)
35 Arcane dust (from 15 green items that the NPCs dropped)

For the remaining ingredients:

6 Primal Mana only cost me about 10-12 gold at the AH
4 Greater Planar Essence - had that already - I think it is easy to get

6 Primal Fire - these were the real time consumers. I found it took 7-8 passes at the Elemental Plateau in Nagrand. While waiting for respawns, I farmed other elementals nearby.

There is some moving around to do all this: Karazhan, Nagrand and Netherstorm (for the weaving), but it took less time than I expected and I enjoy not only a great bag but a few profits from some of the extras I picked up.

I agree this item is way to costly, to make. The only good reason to make this is if W-O-W, added spell power attributes.
