По состоянию на 09.11.2014 г. накидка продаётся в лагере Осквернителей ( Павший молот, Низина арати ).
Квест теперь действительно не нужен. Необходимо иметь превознесение с Осквернителями и иметь при себе 2679 очков чести для покупки.
13/21 к, тружусь над получением.

Получал накидку через квест. Честно скажу, один из самых запоминающихся квестов что я делал. Никак не получалось захватить пять баз сразу, десятки попыток, пытался по разному, никак не получалось. В итоге решил забить и идти к "Завоевателю". Об этом квесте подзабыл, и как-то решил проверить какие квесты стоит сдать, и тут я увидел неожиданное - (Выполнено), было дико приятно, восторгу не было предела, сразу же полетел получать накидку.
Накидка очень красивая, на локе андеде с гринфаером смотрится нереально круто.
Желаю всем поскорее прокачать репутацию, и получить данную накидку, удачи!

Нигде нет точной информации по поводу расшаривания табарды на аккаунт.
По состоянию на 06.08.2020, патч 8.3.7 накидка требует превознесения с фракцией...

Апдейт: на альтов шарится. Единственное, что приходится ждать.

What is the easiest way to get to Exalted? I have a level 70 Warrior and I feel like I have played AB too much... I'm playing as Horde and they usually lose AB on my server, which results in less reputation gain. I only have 6440/12000 (Honored)...
How many times have people played AB to get Exalted? Like everyday for a half year? It's insane how hard it is...

Very painful to get with the new rep changes, and the fact AB takes 6-8mins in my BGgroup and most games start with 6 horde vs 15 :(

Yes atm its hard to take it. Depends on what battlegroup you are. So if you want this tabard check the battlegroups find the one which horde wins ab and get the BEST TABARD in game :)

This is currently the only one of the old pvp tabards that requires exalted, the warsong tabard and frostwolf tabard can both be bought with marks of honor now.

Battle Tabard of the defilers, much like the Conqueror title, has become a sign of someone who truly enjoys bgs (or did them in the old rank grind), and doesn't just farm honor for purples in AV.

i belive that you no longer need to be exualted with bg groups for tabard because i can buy for 30 or 60 marks from warsong outriders

A common misconception of this tabard is that it is attainable through AB Marks. This is not the case. You need Max exalted to be able to pick up the quest to 5cap for an AB tabard. It is the only item in the game that requires Max exalted to pick up the quest to obtain it.
I ran a pvp guild after BC came out. We ran AB every day to farm honour. After 6 months we lost only 6 games to other preforms. I got the Max exalted on my Blood Elf just before Blizz nurfed preforms.
If yer wondering whut it takes to get this tabard after BC came out shortly after they made rep much harder to get in BGs, this is whut it'll take. Screenshot is up.

So it's not just exalted but max exalted to get the quest? Oh, well. I guess that's just 9-12 more games or so after hitting exalted. After playing the hundreds of ABs it takes just to get there, what's 9-12 more?

I shall not rest until I get this! The best looking tabard in game IMO! I agree that grinding rep with Defilers is not as easy as Frostwolf, but better than WG Outriders. As long as you control some bases the rep ticks, so make sure you hold your nodes:):) My favorite BG anyways.

No, you also need 999/1000 exalted to be able to get the FrostWolf Rank 6 trinket.

One of the best looking tabards in game, but it also comes from one of the best Battlegrounds in game (in a sense).
This single item shows how much you've played Arathi Basin, and that you're well seasoned. I've just picked up the quest to get it after reaching Exalted today. It's always been a long term goal to get exalted with all 3 BG factions, and to get this tabard.

It's also one of the only tabards, if not the only one, that actually has a graphic on it, as opposed to a simple texture or tiled pattern.

Got wow in 05 always as a casual player. Never did "grind", whats the point if you're not playing for the fun of it?
Started playing AB at lvl 20-somthing, soley to get that tabard. At lvl 70 after regularly in and out of AB I finally got it as my last action ever in Wow about 2 years ago.
For me that was an achievement enough.
As an UD Rogue, AB was the best thing about Wow for me. Epic Tabard. Epic Game.

General facts and other neat information around Arathi Basin and the reputation grind:

Achievements for reaching exalted with Осквернители (Horde) and Лига Аратора (Alliance) respectively awards Осквернитель and Рыцарь Аратора. These achievements are steps in Завоеватель (H) / Вершитель правосудия (A).
Once reaching exalted a quest will be avalible in Arathi Highlands (Hammerfall (H), Refuge Point (A)). The quests are Занять пять баз (H) / Контроль над пятью базами (A) and awards respectively Боевая гербовая накидка Осквернителей (H) and Араторская боевая гербовая накидка (A).
Most of the random achievements in Arathi Basin are listed here.
Getting exalted with respectively Arathi Basin faction WILL take time. According to parazyte's estimation you'll get 75 reputation per game. So prepare for the grind of your life.

Reputation gains for full victories (reaching 1600/1600 points) during normal days:

10 ticks × 10 reputation = 100 rep.
It ticks every 160 resources you reach.

Reputation gains for full victories (reaching 1600/1600 points) during Call to Arms:

11 ticks × 10 reputation = 110 rep.
It ticks every 140 resources you reach.

Can I get more reputation when farming AB than this?
If you're in a guild with Вы - звезда! you will be getting 10% extra reputation. Meaning 11 rep per tick instead of 10:

During normal days: 10 ticks × 11 reputation = 110 rep for a full victory.
During Call to Arms: 11 ticks × 11 reputation = 121 rep for a full victory.

Does it matter whether you win or lose the BG? Regarding reputation gains.
No, the only thing that matters is whether you reach the required resources or not.
E.g. Reaching 160, 320 etc or during CtA reaching 140, 280 etc. Of course you'll get more honor for winning.

How does this work if you have both Вы - звезда! + Дипломатия (Alliance only of course)?
They should be stacking and you should be getting 12 reputation per tick. Not quite sure about the exact number if they are both based on the base amount of rep or if they are based on eachother.

Are there any quests you can get extra reputation from?
Yes there are three quests. These are the same quests that have been in the game since Vanilla though, so you might have done them even though you might not remember it. The quests are avalible from Hammerfall (H) and Refuge Point (A) in Arathi Highlands.
One NPC per faction gives all quests:

Horde: Повелительница смерти Двайр: Битва за Низину Арати (Neutral required), Захват четырех баз (Friendly required), Занять пять баз (Exalted required).
Alliance: Фельдмаршал Освет: Битва за Низину Арати (Neutral required), Контроль над четырьмя базами (Friendly required), Контроль над пятью базами (Exalted required).

There are one or two more quests called Standard/Advanced Care Package but they only award 10 reputation.
And no, Blizzard has no plans what so ever to change this reputation system. They like how this is in AB+WSG and would like to keep it as one of the few über grinds in game. The only fact we can rely on is that RNGesus plays a very little role in this reputation grind...

Updates as of 4.2
It appears that reputation gains has been reduced by approximately 30%.
You now get reputation during normal days for full victories:

6 ticks × 10 reputation = 60 rep. (66 with Вы - звезда!).
It ticks every 260 resources you reach. (Up by 100 resources.)

And during Call to Arms:

8 ticks × 10 reputation = 80 rep. (88 with Вы - звезда!).
It ticks every 200 resources you reach. (Up by 60 resources.)

This is in my opinion outrageous and I'm hoping it gets reverted.

I Started playing 16/8/09
I dont do premades
Normally just do random BG's
I only started "farming" this when i was halfway thou exalted
567 AB battles
330 AB wins

Updates as of 5.4.8.
Reputation Guide:

Normal days:
You will gain 16 reputation per 260 resources.
Overall there will be 6 ticks, which will result in 96 reputation per Win.

Call to Arms:
You will gain 16 reputation per 200 resources.
Overall there will be 8 ticks, which will result in 128 reputation per Win.

Every character start at 0 / 3000 Neutral.
This is the amount of Wins you will need in order to hit Exalted:
Neutral: 3000 reputation = 31 wins - 23 during Call to Arms.
Friendly: 6000 reputation = 63 wins - 47 during Call to Arms.
Honored: 12000 reputation = 125 wins - 93 during Call to Arms.
Revered: 21000 reputation = 219 wins - 164 during Call to Arms.

Overall that's 438 Wins - 327 during Call to Arms ( 395 - 295 with Вы - звезда! ).

* There's now only two quests available, down from three.
The following quests is given by Повелительница смерти Двайр:
Битва за Низину Арати. Awards 500 reputation - 550 with Вы - звезда!.
Захват четырех баз. Awards 1000 reputation - 1100 with Вы - звезда!.
~~Занять пять баз. Awards 500 reputation as well as the Боевая гербовая накидка Осквернителей~~.

Once exalted, the tabard can be purchased from Резерфорд Оттяжка in Нагорье Арати for 2679 Honor points.

I believe everything is different now, I don't think you need to do quest considering there is a tabard vendor selling this (for honor, and you need reputation). Therefore I think required level should be changed.

as of patch day (5.0.4) Deathmaster Dwire isnt giving out the quest once you are exalted, pretty sure its a bug, but thought id just update the thread to highlight this problem as it seems im not alone

got exalted a few days ago.
just couldn't get any quests from Deathmaster,
i asked GM if theres a bug or anyproblem,
the GM said the quests from the defilers had been removed from the game. that being said you couldnt get the awesome tabard now.

Caught exalted this month (2012-08) with The Defilers, but when I went to pick up the quest she is not available.
GM said on ticket, that a bug is happening with the npc Deathmaster Dwire and he does not give the quest, are trying to solve the problem.

was not removed from the game, just a temporary bug.

but we still can find someone who's already on that quest ,and share it.and complete and get the tarbard.
one of my friend said so to me .

after complete it, you will get the tabard at dwire deathmaster.

The AB tabards are buyable from the AB quartermasters for 2679 honor at exalted on the 5.1 PTR.

If you want to complete the quest (which i *think* might unlock the tabard for restoration at the tabard vendor), now is the time to get your rep done and find someone who can share it.

As of 5.1 the tabard can be purchased for 2,679 honor points form Rutherford Twing in Arathi Highlands near the AB portal. Still requires exalted to purchase and wear but no longer need the quest to receive the tabard.

Experiment. How fast could you get the Боевая гербовая накидка Осквернителей and the Осквернитель Achievement from scratch.

The answer: 14 Days.

Facts:

Reached level 24 = 4/30/14
Achieved exalted with the defilers = 5/21/14
Time between reaching the required level/achieving exalted = 22 days

-4 (wsg weekend = arathi bg's didn't pop)
-3 (days I didn't have time to play WoW)
-1 (reaching level 24/gearing process/farming professions)

Statistics:

Arathi basins played = 228
Arathi basins victories = 130 (57%)
Honorable kills gained = 10059

The Bracket:
I've chosen to play in the 20-24 xp off bracket instead of max level for multiple reasons.

The queue times for an arathi basin battleground range from instant to 5 minutes.
The bracket population is gigantic due the fact that WoW is free to play up to level 20.
A geared level 24 twink can make quite the difference in a bracket populated mostly by free to play level 20s.
The win loss ratio is pretty much exactly 50/50.
Both factions tend to keep 2 bases all game long due the fact that only the slowest mount speed is available at this level.
The bracket is pretty balanced (besides hunters) and the absence of extensive crowd control effects (again besides hunters) is great.

Gearing/Items

Certain best in slot items require extensive grinding/instance farming but in general you can purchase all the heirlooms appropriate to your class/buy some decent enchants and you're good to go.
The only 2 items that you need besides gear would be the Боевой штандарт координации for the extra rep gain and eventually the Боевой штандарт Орды for the extra health.

Closing words:
I've quite enjoyed farming the tabard for a second time.
It's definitely worth stopping your xp at level 24 for 2-3 weeks just for the purpose of getting exalted with the defilers/obtaining this beauty of a tabard.
I can't really judge how long it would take to farm this particular reputation at max level due the fact that I haven't really played max level in ages but I'm just gonna assume that it would take much longer than 2 weeks.

The quest for the Tabard is no longer available. However, the Tabard is available via Rutherford Twing in Hammerfall for 2679 honor. Exalted status with the Defilers is required to make the purchase.

I'm pretty happy to see this as I've been exalted for over a year and was rather irate when I learned the quest was removed. Good save Blizz, good save.

Not a quest reward anymore. You just have to be exalted and can buy it with honor for around 2600 from the AB quartermaster.

greetings buddies.
i feel like i should post this.
i dont know when it was updated but now(6.2.2) you can buy this tabard from a NPC directly in hammerfall,bust till you need to get exalted .
however it now takes much less time to get exalted,now you gain 500 reputations for each win in AB.(you gain 50 rep points every 150 resource.)
so it will only take like 3000+6000+12000+21000 / 500≈84 wins to get exalted in the AB reputation.

7.0.3 brings a huge nerf in difficulty to obtain this reputation and it's alliance/horde counterpart.

Since the legion pre-patch went live, the reputation gains changed to 50 rep / 100 resources

Thus you are capable to gain 750 rep each win, which adds up to 42,000/750=56

tl;dr It takes 56 wins to get to exalted as of Legion

As 7.0.3 (Legion Prepatch) Rutherford Twing sells the Battle Tabard of the Defilers for 10 Marks of Honor and requieres Exalted rep with them.

I had a few questions about this tabard that I couldn't seem to find the answers to. I was hoping you fine people could help me out a bit.

Once you earn the tabard, is it account-bound? Meaning, can any character you create use it as part of a transmog set, or is it only available to the character who earned it?
If the former is "yes," is it cross-faction? Would I be able to use the Defiler's tabard on my Horde characters and the Arathor's (sp?) on my Alliance characters, or would only my Horde characters have access to it?
If the former is "no," what happens if I transfer the character who earned the tabard to the other faction?
Related to that question, what happens if I don't delete/sell the tabard and leave it in my bags or bank, and then perform a faction transfer?

Thank you in advance! I have an old Alliance character that I mained during vanilla and BC, and he's only about 150 battles away from being able to obtain the tabard. Unfortunately, he's on a realm I no longer play on, and my friends and I only play Horde now. I'd really hate to waste the time earning it only to find out the answers to these questions the hard way.

Bought this today after hitting Exalted. A few notes:

Also unlocks Араторская боевая гербовая накидка on your Alliance characters.
The removal of tabard restrictions means there no longer is a level requirement. Every Horde character can transmog it from Lvl 1.

I figured it couldn't hurt to mention that if you happen to be like me and are (or going to) farming the rep from honored/revered to exalted all at once by queuing Arathi Basin over and over. If you find that the queue times are long and wonder if queuing with the Mercenary buff (lets you join opposite faction battlegrounds) would help, it doesn't. You get no rep when in that mode. I just wasted about an hour and a half + on a Tuesday at 5:00 am in an Alliance bg with one and a half win left to get exalted with queue times taking almost an hour, I'm now hoping I get the rep before maintenance and when I need to sleep comes and derails my motivation.

Hope this prevents someone else from learning the hard way. lol
