I was speaking with a warrior friend who recently began playing in BC earlier this week, and I was talking to him about how he felt fury compared to MS when it came to leveling. He had told me that with using the Maladath as a fury warrior that he was able to grind mobs for quests pretty effectively, and it also helped out a great deal for tanking.

So, my belief on it is if you could pick this up and OH it with say a Ancient Qiraji Ripper or an Iblis, Blade of the fallen Seraph, you would be in pretty good hands as a warrior or a rogue.

This isn't going to be worth much come patch due to the weapon skill nerf. I'd be looking for a new offhand rogues and warriors.

The parry is nice, and weapon skill grants .4% crit, which I guess is ok, but this isn't nearly as useful as it used to be.

This weapon will be useless in terms of dps (not sure about tanking - i'm just a rogue). +skill is getting nerfed to oblivion and everything that has +skill on it shouldn't be touched with a fifty yard pole.

Got this for tanking with a few months ago. With the +4 weapon skill it was awsome.
With the weapon skill nerf. both it and my human racial are going out the window.

The expertise rating for this sword in unbelievable (come 2.3) and 0.85% parry at lvl 70 is amazing. If this weapon had ~80DPS it would remain a viable tanking weapon well into BC. This used to be my avoidance-set tanking weapon pre-BC.

This weapon still has the best looking skin/model imho. I'd love to see this look return to the game. A nice updating of the stats would be great too. Like the poster above was saying: get some more dps on it, maybe toss some +sta on it, and then voila! great bc weapon.

When I heard about transmogrifying I got super excited that my rogue would finally be able to dual wield these swords since they are my favorite model. However after coming to this page I have learned that this sword is unique and the other two that share its model have been removed from the game. /sadpanda

Who knows? You might be able to mog both weapons into this sword! It still isn't out yet, after all.

Best looking sword in the game, which is hilarious since it was created in vanilla. 7 years later and there is still no sword as amazing. Transmog til I die.

I got this for my smf warrior over a mage. The mage needed on it too, but thank god i won it, but the mage was unrelenting and proceeded to ninja everything that dropped, and said "loot for sword". Luckily nothing i was farming dropped off chromaggus or neffy. :)
I know this post is rather uninformative but i kinda want to hear your opinion.
Should i have given the sword to the mage?

While I feel the sword is a little clunky looking for fighting, even I can't deny that it is a very beautiful weapon. I suppose that's just a sign of how well designed the blackwing lair weapons were, visually. Even those who don't favor them for transmog cannot deny the charm others have towards it.
