Gotten this as a WQ reward for
Полный ква-вардак
and although the tool-tip says its BOE it binds on pick up.

I tried this for Timewalking. Super underwhelming. It contributed to only
0.7%
of my damage done.

It is total garbage. For reference:
I got an ilvl 236 version of this, with a damage potential of 475 Arcane Damage per explosion. Explosions are AoE and occur
supposedly
"at a very high chance" on each attack
however
for this to even happen you must first proc the buff, which despite the misleading tooltip, actually has a lower proc chance - and even when it does proc, although it lasts 20 secs is totallly a joke on damage output. In the unlikely even you ever get a proc every second, this is potentially 9500 damage. This also provides 85 Str
However, this never happens of course, the proc rate is laughable despite the tool tip.
Now, lets compare this with an ilvl 233
Rotbriar Sprout
(my favourite trink this season) which has a "very low" proc chance, to summon a big beefy that AoE's the area. This guy does 7247 damage per proc, impling this should be a weaker AoE trinket for multiple reasons. This trinket provides 75 Str.
However, in a test with both these trinkets equipped, Rotbriar caused over 8mil damage, compared to the Implement's measily 2.5mil
Even when comparing with a single target trinket - in this case, the awesome wombat-summoning
Symbol fo the Vombata
- the Implements damage is poor, even with the multi-target advantage. My Symobl is a weaker ilvl 226, with a damage potential of 2339. The proc rate is average, given it does not state high or low. This provides 77Str
When these were paired together and tested, the Symbol caused approx 4mil damage v's the Impement's paltry 2.5mil
So vend this crap. get better trinks.
EDIT - Retested at Swarm Targets in Sinfal, and apparently it doen't do so bad here. 178.4k in a short test on this close knit 5 cluster group compared to Rotbriar's 32k. Admittedly, the latter did not proc as often as usual in this shorter test.
On the cleave test (3 targets) the Implement managed 63k vs Rotbriar's 32k damage. Interesting, I guess it's possible the first test was somehow squiffed due to an unexpectedly low proc rate that time? Or perhaps Rotbriars is having permance anxiety here in Sinfal since he has proc'd the least I've seen here compared to anywhere else in the Shadowlands
Rotbriar
still
outperforms the Symbol, even on single target, although the Symbol does have a much higher proc rate, and can gain on Rotgrub before it first procs, the first proc is enough to almost catch up, and from that point on it's only a matter of time before the Rotgrub outdamages the Symbol regardless.
Takeaway is, Implement is an upgrade to the Symbol, but Rotgrub is still worth keeping around, as in longer fights he will either catch up to the Implement on damage, or outperform eventually, even if on shorter fights, the Implement is much better.
