With a renewed focus on end-game armor, the revamped Crafting Professions have unique and interesting bonuses attached to some gear pieces. These Кузнечное дело Plans will almost certainly see use throughout the early life of Dragonflight, and likely farther as the new system is polished.

Кузнечное дело is one of the Professions that allows for the crafting of Profession Equipment - Accessories and Tools which provide powerful bonuses to Crafting Secondary Skills. These items will be in high demand, and will likely fetch premium prices on the Auction House.

Making Gold with Blacksmithing in Dragonflight

Specializations make a huge difference! Since there is more freedom in choosing your own Specialization path, there are also more opportunities to find your niche to make gold- especially early on in the life of Dragonflight, when not every crafter will have a completely maxed out tree. Blacksmiths can choose to devote themselves to Armor, Weapons, or Specialty goods - there's a niche in the market for everyone!

Whet- and Weight- stones have traditionally been fast sellers, and are likely going to continue to be. Additionally, a new type of consumable stone, Изначальный абразивный камень, makes an appearance - offering bonuses to Gathering Tools!

Work Orders, a flagship feature for Dragonflight Profession changes, may provide unique opportunities for profit to the savvy Blacksmith. All high item level gear that Blacksmiths can craft is Bind on Pickup, meaning for those without skill in the Profession, Work Orders will be the only way to obtain that gear.

Profession Tools and Accessories are likely to be constantly in demand in Dragonflight - the better the quality of your Accessories and Tools, the better your own crafts become. Кузнечное дело is able to craft these items for Горное дело, Травничество, Снятие шкур, Кожевничество, Портняжное дело, and Кузнечное дело. Given that the majority of the Plans are for Tools as well, this will likely make Кузнечное дело a hot commodity!

Plate Armor: Long ago, Blacksmiths crafted both Mail and Plate armor - however, those days are long gone. Now focused entirely on Plate, Кузнечное дело offers Plans for basic leveling gear such as Латный нагрудник исследователя and Наголенники опытного исследователя, as well as gear with special bonuses such as Подготавливающие набедренники ледяного огня and Щит теплого очага. Blacksmiths can also craft PVP gear such as Ярый шлем возмездия.

Weapons: From Claymores to Crushers, we've got what you need! Кузнечное дело offers plans for weapons such as Обожженная обсидиановая алебарда and Изначальная раскаленная булава.

Profession Equipment: New to Dragonflight, Profession equipment provides bonuses (and fashion!) to your Crafting abilities.

Consumables: Primarily focused on Whet- and Weight- stones, Кузнечное дело will certainly keep busy supplying the market with temporary boosts to Attack Power.

"This dimly lit forge seems to long for a spark... Perhaps the touch of a Blacksmith would rekindle its flame."

I crafted a Раскаленный изначальный сплав using the Dim Forge and in the Slack Tub below it gave a Проблеск кузнечной мудрости. (Increases Blacksmithing knowledge by 3)

Appears to be repeatable.

What's the equivalent of a Crafting Table for BS? You can click on a Forge or Anvil, but it doesn't count for Orders?

Just to answer myself, the only place I've seen BS Crafting Tables is in Valdrakken. Weirdly they aren't in the Blacksmith building, but they're nearby in the Mining area. And also weirdly, there are two of them...

Edit: I've started seeing forges working as Crafting Tables for BS. I'm assuming this was changed, either that or the Forge I tried (in Camp Nowhere) is different.

Edit: I finally noticed a Crafting Table for BS in Obsidian Throne. Not sure if it was there before and I missed it or whether it was just added. In any case it's kind of a stupid place to put one since Обсидиановая наковальня works as one (it's right nearby Кузня Хранителя Земли) and is right there.

For anyone curious about the skill limits as of patch 10.1

From what I can find...

100 pts from your BS Skill
110 from maxing out the spec tree path you are crafting in
40 from Hammer Control
22 from BS Equipment (6 from apron, 6 from toolbox, 10 from hammer)
75 from all 3-star materials (50% for 2-star, 0% for 1-star)
30 from illustrious insight

Maximum skill before inspiration should be 377 and the highest difficulty I can find is 505 for Молот черных драконов with a 1-star Draconic Missive and a needless Масло витого огня

This is all quite beguiling. However. I need repair to my equipment. Yesterday I was at Wingrest Embassy, looked around for a blacksmith, oops. There isn;t one at the Em=bassy. There is a Blacksmithing Trainer just outside the building, but unlike say, Orgrimmar, the trainer does not do equipment repairs. Hahaha. Geek joke on me. Good one.

Yesterday by accident found repairs available at the Traveling Trainer, Cool. When I needed repairs today I went back to the Traveling Trainer. Oops. No I didn't, because the Traveling Trainer had traveled to points unknown. Hahaha. Geek joke on me. Good one.

OK, went to a guard to find out where a blacksmith anywhere. Oops, No guards with location guides. Hahaha., Geek joke on me. Good one.

Came to Wowhead to search "repair equipment wingrest embassy", got all sorts of articles on Blacksmithing, but nothing on how to find some NPC to repair equipment at the Embassy. Hahaha. Geek joke on me. Good one.

So thanks Blizz and Wowhead, here's an "expansion" that doesn't have the ordinary amenities of life (such as repairs) that we have in places like Orgrimmar. It's worse than Shadowlands, something I never thought could be possible. Hahaha. Geek joke on me. Good one.

If Blizz isn't going to maintain the basics (shall we talk about flying?), then what's the point? Answer: there is none other than programmers finding ways to prove they're worth what they're being paid. Hahaha. Geek joke on me. Good one.

Adding for those who are levelling DF professions in later expansions. Splintered Spark of Awakening can still be earned in later expansions for transmog and levelling dragonflight professions. The flightstone requirement has been removed. I can confirm they can be earned per-boss by running Dawn of the Infinites, and I assume that other DF dungeons also drop them on bosses.
