Midnight Engineering Specialization Tips and Tricks

Slow and Steady: A crafter can choose to not invest points into Ingenuity and Concentration, focusing instead on gaining the most skill. This approach may take longer to fully specialize in a craft, but it allows for the unlimited production of high-quality items. Crafters using this method will have a higher overall crafting cost due to them using higher quality materials, but they are not limited on how many items they can produce. This method may be best for those focusing on producing high-quality gear with no limitation, as fast as possible, for Crafting Orders. Crafters focusing on items without Quality might also prefer not to invest in Ingenuity.

Fast but Limited: Casual crafters, Alt armies, or those who do not want to dedicate a lot of time towards professions can specialize in Ingenuity and Concentration. This allows them to produce high-quality items more quickly and cost-effectively by using lower-quality materials and relying on Concentration to compensate for the difference in skill. However, the downside to this approach is that you are limited in the number of crafts you can produce daily. Once you run out of Concentration, you will have to wait before you can produce more high-quality items.

I'm fairly annoyed that Blizzard's description of the Bits and Bots tree and nodes don't actually state that they provide skill points for consumables (only explicitly mentioning reagents) and only the fluffy bits of the tree description even hint at it.
Sure, there's no other tree obviously involved but they still could communicate better.
