Build and Spend: Дезинтеграция and Погребальный костер spend Сущность, primary resource for Evokers. Живой жар and Лазурный удар are the filler spells that generate Взрывная сущность, a proc that allows you to use these abilities without spending Essence. Spend Essence and Essence Burst, then use filler spells while waiting.

Use cooldowns frequently: Ярость дракона and Глубокий вдох (Scalecommander) are Devastation's main cooldown. Essence Burst is guaranteed from filler spells during this buff. Its duration can be extended by both Всплеск вечности and Огненное дыхание with Враждебность. Given that both spells also come with their own short cooldowns, consider what is available when entering Dragonrage and to press them on cooldown during it.

Always be casting: Try to maintain high uptime on targets. Constant use of damaging spells is the key to high damage in Raid and Mythic+. Use Бреющий полет effectively to cast spells on the move. Try to fill "downtime" in your rotation with spells, even if its not completely optimal (Azure Strike for instance). Using something is almost always better than being idle. Try to use cooldowns and Empowered spells early and often.

there is an error here: where it says:
"In the Interface options, under Gameplay-Controls, you have two options under Empowered Spell Input: Hold and Release, or Press and Tap. Hold and Release is default. Play with both to see which you prefer."

this is not correct (spend hours testing if any addon was preventing me seeing this option). The correct is:

Options → Gameplay → Combat → Empowered Spell Input

Am I the only one who thinks only 1 evoker per server is a little unfair? Like at least let us do 1 per faction on the same server...

Since Dracthyr won't come with an easy way to return to Orgrimmar once you change your hearth to somewhere in Dragon Isles, here's an easy workaround. Get a Dalaran Hearthstone and use the portal there (surely works for Alliance in Stormwind too...) Follow this link and it's super simple and fast. -> BattleNetSupport

Now the Dragonflight expansion has come to an end it is open to fair reviews, let me start by saying the class is not as chaotic as it may seem at first glance. The mobility is comparable to that of its predecessor the Demon Hunter and it is difficult to not love the animation of Deep Breath and Earthquake in both mythics, raids and player vs player content. After levelling as both Devastation and Preservation I found myself wanting to play the DPS specialization more and more and absolutely loving the numbers during dungeons and mythics. Even while under-geared at level 70 the AoE output is incredible with Fire Breath, Pyre and Firestorm procs, the single target damage isn't too bad either and if talented into Eternity Surge is absolutely ridiculous. A fully geared Devastation will always be welcomed in any raid I'm sure.

I've been playing a long time (>15 years) and have tried almost every class I could. I like Shaman, Druid, WW Monk and Warrior. However, I always hit some kind of limit in playing them. I gave Dracthyr a chance about a year ago and just found it frustrating and somewhat confusing. Now I've picked it up again, and am having more fun playing WoW than I have in a long time. I'm currently playing Devastation (L49) but when I hit 60 I'm planning on leveling in Augmentation, just for s**ts and giggles. Thanks for these guides; my enthusiasm for the game is starting to crest again!

Minor error identified on 9/1/26. The BiS off-hand in the cheat sheet section is from last season. Currently it shows ilvl 285 when it should be ilvl 331.
