I agree with mrfoughtforever. It makes me upset though that when I watched the WoTLK cinematic with my friend, who didn't play wc3 or read books or study, liked it because it looked cool, but I liked it because I knew about the past and the history of it. = /

And how did you figure that was a blue dragon? As far as we know Frost Wyrms are just random dragon skeletons, reanimated by magic. The blue glow is just sign of power/magic/energy. And the Blue Dragonflight is not the only one that rests in peace(pieces anyone? heh...) in the Dragonblight.

it appears that Ivokk did his research and that it IS a blue dragon.

Without a doubt, the best cinematic so far. To you naysayers, it's better because it serves a purpose. The first two WoW cinematics were just random clips of various classes jumping around. No story, no real dialogue, no purpose.
In the Burning Crusade, most players had no idea who the bad guy was, or why we were even in Outland. Even after the release of the Black Temple, most people didn't even know who the heck Illidan was or why we were killing him. They did a good job of wrapping things up with the Sunwell at the end, but before that, the only reason for being in Outland was for nothing more than new loot and a new place to explore.
With Lich King, they've made sure that everyone, not just the lore buffs, no exactly why we're heading to Northrend.
We know who the enemy is, the extent of his power, his tragic story. We know what our purpose is: to kick the crap out of the Lich King and his undead army.
The cinematic didn't really explain all that. In fact if it were my first time seeing a WoW product I would assume we were fighting on the side of the scourge as the actions of Arthas seem to fit with his father's voice over. If you didn't know Arthas killed his father and betrayed the people referred to by the voice over you might not get that blood thirst to kill that patricidal undead monarch.
I preferred the old random fight scene smush style as it really made you feel like you were a part of the game. Seeing all those heroes fighting off monsters gave you the sense of belonging and existence in the world.

Why does that link prove that it must be a blue dragon?
The second sentance says "and the remains of
other
types of dragons from the Dragonblight, converted into undead minions of the Scourge. "
Easily, the dragon in the video is blue. Lulz. =P

meh, I would've liked to see different classes and races in action better, like the previous intros.
Preferably trolls.

it's actually still the first sentence but you're right. the sentence actually doesn't even make much sense. why does it even say blue in the first place if it's just going to say "other"
i still believe said dragon is blue though xD

Because the first frost wyrm was a blue dragon and Northrend was the domain of what remains of the blue flight.
