My guild has been attempting black wing descent and so far we can't seem to down either magmaw or the omnitron defense system... but for now i'll ask bout the ODS
Our raid setup is:
Tanks x2:
Paladin and DK
Healers x3:
H. Priest, H. Pally, resto druid
Ranged x2:
Hunter, Mage
Melee x3:
Feral drood (me), Rogue, unholy dk
During omnitron, our pally holds the main *tron while the dk holds the shielded one. we tank the active one on the left wall and the inactive one on the right wall. the dps transition is quite good but i think the tank transition could go a little smoother.
During arcanotron, we have a solid interruption going on with the dk and rogue trading interuptions and I act as a "safety net" interrupter. our raid leader doesn't like having us stay in the puddle of power he drops because he thinks that it increases the damage the raid takes... i know that is one of the larger downfalls and i'm going to address it next raid. also when he has the shield, his missiles keep hurting the raid quite a bit... is there anything that can be done bout that? other than that we don't have much of a problem with arcano.
during toxitron, we handle the gas cloud with ease but the slimes are one of our biggest downfalls. when the slimes are being summoned the melee run out and we jump on them quick... but they seem to randomly blow up in our face when we're downing them. we're not sure if it's because they switch targets or what.
Electron is not to much of a problem... but when he has the shell he tends to rip up melee and the tank with his chain lightening.
for magmatron... we have no problems so i'll skip that one
So to sum it up... i kind of know what to do for arcano's power puddles... but his bolts when he has the shield hurt quite a bit and tend to hit us at bad timings. for tox, his slimes act strangely for us and usually are the main raid wiper. and electro shreds up melee during shield phase.
our healers are very good and do awesome healing but tend to run out of mana fast on this fight, our dps do 8000-12000 dps on average. our tanks have over 150k hp buffed and are both good at their class... but the pally seems to get rofl-stomped every now and then... not sure why. but overall we're decently geared and a very capable group.
anywho, any tips would be awesome... if you need any more info just ask.

Dont do any kind of dps to shielded trons. Some can take a bit of damage before doing something nasty, but Toxi will automaticaly dot you for your damage and Arcano will get a buff to his unavoidable casts, soonish 1-2 shotting people. Dont even re-dot the trons close to being shielded, as the dot ticks count too.
For pools, they are completely harmless, except for the case when the (Elec?)tron gives the debuff that makes a player channel damage to all around him - if all are stacked in the pool and one of the players gets the debuff, serious raid damage can occur. Otherwise, do stand in the pool, its damage and mana regen boost. But the damage boosts counts for everybody, including bosses, so make sure they dont stand there.
The green cloud is a complete opposite, everything inside takes inceased damage, including bosses (it is easy to know whether someone is inside or not, as it gives the player/boss a green glow).
For healers, try to realize what damage may be deadly and what not, and dont be too zealous healing the players - there is only few things in normal mode that can do real damage, and the better you execute the fight, the easier the healing is (this means especialy not damaging the arcanotrons shield).

I didn't know that about the dots, I'll recommend dot-stoppage at 60 energy... me and some of the others tend to leave massive dots on...
I did have a plan for arcano and electro being on at the same time where only the healers stand on the power puddle. do to chain lightening and the aoe damage debuff.
we tend to avoid the green cloud completely and don't want to risk putting the tank in it just to be safe... but if the ot gets a chance i'll see if he can kite him into it when the shield wears off.
Thanks for the tips.
