I'm going to need some more time to get all of my idea on paper, and make sure that what I'm trying to convey gets across well.
I honestly don't think that the thread will last, if I do make it though.
Heh, might as well, if it falls behind oh well. You know you'll get a few good pages out of it, even it's only me, you, Delt, Skreeran heh.

That's just it though, I think out of those names, there might only be one person who disagrees with me on the idea, and even then, I'm not sure how much he would disagree.
So you know what I'm getting at, the thread would be about the necessity of the upcoming war between the Alliance and the Horde.

I think I know who'd disagree.

Heh, yeah. But I would present multiple arguments for my idea, some that even Nakresh might not be able to think against.
And I would also include multiple Alliance points of view, so as not to have anyone feel left out.

I think my biggest objections are:
a) Reasons: Right now, the Alliance and Horde have very poor reasons to go to war. If, say, the Alliance killed Cairne, rather than Garrosh, I could see the need to bring those responsible to justice. But when it's just "I hate and you hate me, let's kill eachother" it seems very stupid. We need a bad guy.
The Alliance already has some of those reasons in the Forsaken, but again, they've been dealt with, and there's no counterpart in the Alliance, except for Varian, and people like Bartlett.
b)Limits: The war that is starting up doesn't seem as much of a "these people must be brought to justice" conflict, or an "our children need food and you have it" conflict, but more of a "we're p*ssed and we're gonna kill your entire race" conflict.
There's no limits. Both sides seem like they're trying to wipe the other off of the face of the earth. They aren't just trying to "defeat" the other, but to utterly cripple the race/faction.

Its a very good read, very... dark...
I'm guessing that elf is going to become a death knight?

Well, considering she states herself to be a Death Knight, I'd assume so... :P

yhea it's dark, she is a Death Knight, the story simply traces her steps into becoming a Death Knight.
at first she was an acolite, aspiring to become a priestess, but as many blood-elves did, she became disilussioned with the light, and instead chose to enslave the light by becoming a blood-knight, after a series of events she ends up becoming a DK. (forced to become a DK that is, she didn't became one willingly)
normally I don't do dark storys (the story of my shaman is in fact a lot happier, since he was a rage-aholic garrosh tipe of orc, that tries to find inner peace by following the path of the enhance shaman, as a result he now rarely kills anything, and uses only as much force as needed to resolve the situation, with as minimum violence as posible) but seeing as derah is a death knight, I figured a past filled with rainbows, cute suggar rabbits and gummy bears wasn't gonna cut it.
the hardest part for me is to actually translate the story into english (is a lot harder than it seems) because there are many words in spanish used to describe the same situation, whereas in english there is only 1, so I sort of have to condense the story into fit with less words than it could had, the result is me over-explaining stuff because there is a lack of words in english to put what I wrote in spanish.
it's tiring, but fun :D I hope the end result is good enough ^_^
what concerns me the most is not as much the story, but rather the narrative, I don't know if the way I narrate the story is good enough, if I'm over-explaining stuff, or if I shoudn't narrate it from Derah's point of view, first person, third person, with a narrator that is part of the story but not derah herself, and that sort of thing.

Hmmm... I can't think of a single character of mine with a gummy bears and rainbows past... :P
Nakresh is probably the closest thing to that, and he was locked up in a camp for 14-20 years... :P

I'd say that "Depending on where your story goes with her I might consider her for The Frozen North" but I've got more
character ideas
then I can honestly handle.
And I already have some... interesting plans for the story.

Warlord Hork Strongbrow says: YOU HAVE JUST SIGNED YOUR OWN DEATH WARRANT, MONGREL!
Marshal Ivalius says: YOU SIGNED YOURS WHEN YOU MURDERED BOLVAR! DAMN YOU!Except we know Bolvar is not dead, he's been a captive of the Lich King for the last 'year'.
