Garrosh just needs a hug. Preferably from a rogue with a good poisoned knife...

It appears Garrosh is indeed a Fel Orc.
Dangit Tauren, don't rub it in!

If he wasn't brown, I'd swear that was Grom.... even has his standard pose heh.

I'm speculating that he's showing hints and tinges of turning into a Fel Orc because, well, that
is
Gorehowl that he's holding. If he took it from the dead body of Mannoroth, it's highly likely that he was touched by the pit lord's blood. On a side note, it would seem likely that those are Mannoroth's tusks that he's wearing on his shoulders, as well.
My bigger concern is how did he obtain Gorehowl? Or actually, how did Prince Malchezaar obtain it? As far as I know, Gorehowl was never removed from Mannoroth's body in the lore, so how a big bad Eredar managed to get it boggles me. Maybe it's just a retcon, and that Gorehowl only drops off Prince for gameplay/itemization purposes and that it was actually still attached to Mannoroth lore-wise up until Garrosh retrieves it.

UGO is hardly unknown. Report the link if you think it is bad, I see you didn't, making replies just creates more work for the mods to clean up.

It could have been possible that perhaps Gorehowl was returned to Orgrimmar along with Mannoroth's armor that is prominently displayed in the Valley of Wisdom, and that it's just been stored away for safekeeping as a family heirloom or a memento. It's reasonable to say that with Garrosh as the new Warchief and new threats abound, he takes it and carries it around as a symbol of his power or even to charge into battle with it.

It appears Garrosh is indeed a Fel Orc. Now that you mention it, you're right. He is a Fel Orc, which gives a bad omen for High Overlord Saurfang. After all, he said something to the effect of "I'll kill you if you make us into slaves again" to Garrosh. That also explains the rumor I'd heard that the "black iron" look of the new Org was going to make it look "hellfire citadel-ish."
I wonder if Garrosh is going to survive Cataclysm, or if someone's going to take him out before then. Which brings us to "who will be the next Warchief?"
Disregarding all the speculation about Cairne, I think he would make a great Warchief. Nowhere does it state that the Warchief has to be an Orc, even though traditionally it has always been one, but the Warchief of the current Horde (not the Orcish) is simply the leader of the Horde, which now includes other races as well.
Cairne was always one of my favorite characters from WC3 and it surprised me that he had such a small role in WoW. They basically planted him in TB and let him just sit there, whereas I felt that he should have had much more involvement in both the gameplay experience as well as the lore.

They did, it's called television. Now you can watch all those big books people couldn't be bothered to read.

Haven't been having the best day and I have been phished before, in a very similar way, so I let my snarky side get the best of me. I'm sorry.
