I don't think you can count allies.
And demons still aren't as scary as Slenderman... >.>

I mean, you said you don't think he can be harmed by humans at all....Freddy isn't human anymore, and he got his powers from a group of demonic entities known as the Dream Demons. And Slenderman isn't scary.

(Yes he is... ;_;)
And I see your point. I still think doubt that Slendy would fear Krueger, though. Freddy's an empowered human spirit, whereas Slendy's some kind of Lovecraftian abomination. I mean, Cthulhu wouldn't be afraid of Davy Jones... :P

Honestly, Slenderman was kind of scary when I was first doing research on him. Now, though, he's just not all that frightning. It just like how I wasn't unnervered while I was reading some of H.P.'s short stories -
In the Mountains of Madness
. They are epic works, don't get be wrong, but in the end I just didn't find the fear that is supposed to be inspired by them.
To be fair, Freddy dosn't pull out that much fear-response from me either. The only time I've really had a reaction to his character that wasn't "This dude's badass!" was when he was eating his Soul-food Pizza. That just got to me for some reason.
They each have different advantages and disadvantages that play on each other's characters: Slendy can't (or usually dosn't) fight, Freddy can; Freddy needs fear to give him his strongest powers, Slendy dosn't fear. Its because of that it makes them such a unique conflict. Better than any other's I've written up. That is proven by the response.
And I have to agree that once Freddy gets his claws into Slendy, it'll be all over. Bullets may not kill Slendy, but the Supernatural can beat the supernatural any day of the week. Freddy's just a more offensive type of Suppernatural.

Never said he would fear him, but I wouldn't rate him as an eldritch abomination either, and yeah, as Morec said, the dream claws of Freddy would rip Slendy to pieces, since with those he can murder people in their dreams and leave the actual effect on the person's body in the real world.

That is the lease he has carried on into the real world.
In one of the early movies, a kid was ripped down into his bed which suddenly acted like a blender.
I was honestly never scared of Freddy for the same reason I was never scared by Chucky or Lepruchan: They are more comical than frightening.
Slenderman is only played comically in the parody videos... which are often just the "gimme twenty dollars" veriety.
Also, I would rate Sendy above Freddy on the abomination scale. Watching the MH entry where he shows up in Alex's house? I imagine most people would have a similiar reaction to Amy's. (*Screaming* WHAT THE F*CK IS THAT? ALEX! WHAT IS THAT THING?)
Meanwhile, Freddy would moreso garner the reaction of just a guy breaking into your house. Especially if it was in the real world, as he was proven to be considerably weaker in FvJ. At that point, you just have to stay on him until your done making him into tiny bite size pieces.

Or, alternatively, he cuts you up and puts you on a frying pan and some eggs.
I love refferences ^.^
But considerably weaker? Provided when Jason got ahold of him he beat Freddy down pretty bad, but Freddy also managed to get a number of blows in. Playing pinball with him, hitting him with the air tanks, and then sticking him to the ground with the iron poles. If that container filled with sand hadn't gotten stuck and he hadn't lost his balance he would have just kept beating on him for sure.

It was still nothing compared to his strength in dream-land.

Of course, Jason is a walking slab of undead muscle; he's taken more damage then pretty much any other slasher monster then Michael Myers. Slenderman would be a lot easier to shred then Jason was.

Slenderman would be a lot easier to shred then Jason was.I still don't think so. He's not just a tall, faceless man that can teleport. That's just implied to be his physical form.
If he's the Lovecraftian beyond-thing that I suspect he is, Freddy has no way of seriously hurting him.

Try reading two of my favorite
Lovecraft
stories
. They don't deal with the monsters Lovecraft is famous for, but they're very good, in my opinion.

The statement of Randolph Carter was honestly one of the scariest things I've read. The horror is all psychological instead of slasher scary.

If you tear apart something psyical form, that usually puts them out of commison. It worked against Freddy while he was in the dream, it'll work on Slendy.
And given that Slendy's got no way of permanintly killing Freddy, or even harming him in the dream, it balances out.

Again; not scary. Of course I may not be getting the full effect. When it comes to reading things through a computer something about it just makes it harder, less desirable, and less entertaining for me. Needless to say, though, it was a good read.

Have you read the Transition of Juan Romero? That's another psychological scare, in a sort of "drums in the deep" sort of way.

There is a theory that The Operator, at least, doesn't really look like what we see.
Basically, he is actually undefinable in form, or thought he was. Once he was caught on camera, his undefinable features were given definition and he hated that. Basically, he can't return to his normal form as long as there are cameras that have seen him; leading him to destroy them all and erase everyone's memories of him.

I haven't read the Transition yet, and I probably won't for another few minutes. Gonna try some more Amnesia >.>

I tried reading Lovecraft.
Don't really see what the whole thing is about the stories. They weren't "OHMYGAWD" fests like people make them out to be...

Written fiction has limits to how scary it can be, especially in short stories where you don't have time to get invested in the characters enough to fear for their safety. But as far as horror short stories go, Lovecraft was the scariest I've ever read. Try the two I linked up there.
He's not really; he's a possible minor abomination, but since he's not a 'real' mythos creature, I could see Freddy letting him wrap him up then rip him apart from the inside out.'Real' is relative. All Eldritch Abominations are make-believe, and I don't think being invented on the internet rather than by Lovecraft or Steven King disqualifies him.
Obviously he's not old-god tier, but I would put him above an ascended (descended? :P) human like Freddy or Jason.

Except again, you leave out the fact that Freddy is what he is thanks to a power upgrade by a set of entities known as the Dream Demons; he's not just some 'ghost' or 'ghoul' like Jason is a zombie. I don't think Slendy would stand up against Freddy, and I don't think he's an abomination either like It or something out of Lovecraft.

But have you researched Slendy enough to decide? A couple theories floating about is that he exists simultaneously in many points on earth, because his full consciousness can't manifest. /shrug
