Need to be exalted to have access to this quest, but by the time you're there, this quest doesn't give you anything useful other than more time spent helping out those loveable Sporeggar.

It's a real shame that Blizzard changed this quest to be accessed only at Exalted. Back in the Beta you could pick it up at Honored (or maybe it was Revered?) It definitely wasn't Exalted. By the time I hit Exalted with these guys, I was already level 70. The rewards didn't do much for me then.

Confirmed that you can get the quest only when you reach exalted with Sporeggar.

This quest is not soloable. (maybe at level 70)

First part:
You just need to escort Fhwoor in the same place where you do the quest to kill 12 and 12 nagas. You can make it with some bandages and a couple of potions. I soloed this part as a warrior level 63. Fhwoor is quite strong and can solo a couple of mobs. So sometimes you can let him fight and in the while you can rest to full hp/mana. Like any other NPC, Fhwoor will regen to full health within seconds.

Second part:
When Fhwoor gets his item and you're going away, just outside the naga camp will spawn Ssslith, an elite level 65 with 3 adds (2 wars and 1 enchantress). Ssslith as i saw is immune to fear and piercing howl and hits for around 1k on plate (clearly dps geared). He even does a frostnova for around 800 dmg and it's quite annoying. I suggest you to bring a couple of friends to do this.

These items are are excellent if you're below, say, 64.
64-67, they're decent.
68+ they're D/E or vendor food.

Blizzard either needs to lower the rep requirement to honored or at the very least, revered, or buff the items significantly.

It's unfair to force players to farm Sporeggar rep pre-70, putting their leveling to a grinding halt, or give them sub-par items at 70.

Soloable as lvl 70 druid. Boss is stun and maimable - immune to cyclone though - havnt tried rooting - but since i let the big dude die to frost nova -.- i'm gonna have to do it over again..... man Fhwoor walks slow.

Not even soloable at 70... Feral Druid, running along and killing everything as fast as Fhwoor would move and either he times out and despawns (happened twice) or you make it to the final encounter with the elite and his 2 guards only to get wtfpwned - ok, so I'm not decked out in full epics, but even so at 70 and with an NPC assistant I'd expect to be able to take out a 66/67 elite!

I recieved 979 rep for completing this quest, as I already had 20/1000 rep in Exalted. Looks like this quest just finishes out your exalted bar, similar to the quest for Netherwing.

As a lvl 70 enhancement shaman, I WAS able to solo this quest, although I was very slim on mana the entire time and had to mana pot twice. Fhwoor doesn't slow down while he is in the camp so you have to move ahead of him and clear the way before he pulls too many.

When Ssslith comes out, I simply put down my Earth Elemental totem to tank the adds and popped heroism, didn't have a problem with them at all. I would still suggest any other level 70 to bring a friend, but if you're a shaman, you're in luck for this one. :)

Soloable as 70 feral druid. The elite did hit hard but not large amounts.
Take out adds first, then burn him down. Bashed, barkskin, heal to full health. Piece of cake.
Got 679 rep for it bringing me to 999/1000.

The rewards really need to be better. Vendorfodder ftl.

Soloable as a 70 hunter with mostly Kara/Gruul loot. I was SV at the time, but BM would have been easier.

First 3/4 of the quest is easily soloable. It's the elite with the 2 non-elite mobs at the end that can be a problem.
Ssslith did not apear to be CC'able. Trapped one of the non-elites instead and killed the other...then killed the trapped one. Then burned Ssslith down. Had to do a lil bit of kiting so my pet could regain health because Ssslith did hit hard.

The rep was enough to finish off my exalted to 999/1000. And as stated above, at 70, the rewards were "vendorfodder". All in all, not easy by any means....put not impossible.

Easy enough. 70 fire mage, just kited ssslith after killing the caster add and sheeping the other (running, jumping and casting fireblast/icelance, etc.)

Might need to mana gem/mana pot, but he isn't _too_ hard. I assume fhwoor can't die if you want to complete the quest.

Maybe it's an option to let the NPC take out the last couple of mobs (especially the elite). You can cast buffs on him, so I take you can also heal him.

I tried this quest as a Balance Druid but got completely owned by his annoying ice spells. :}

It's really annoying what Blizzard does. Some escort quests that suggest 2 or 3 people are easy to solo with like any class. While others are like the extreme opposite. :/

I was able to solo this quest as a lvl 70 Holy Priest wearing BT/Hyjal heal equip (2331 +heal bonus, 919 +spelldmg bonus).

You can indeed heal Fhwoor, and he can take a few hits easily. Just let him run ahead and aggro the mobs in his way, let him take a few hits, and kill the mobs.

You'll probably have to fight against 3-4 enchantresses just before Fhwoor picks up the ark; be careful of their circles of frost, they hit for 2200 frost damage, which can be quite dangerous if all of them decide to cast them at the same time ;)

The last fight is kinda tough, the lvl 65 elite naga (Ssslith) hits quite hard on cloth (3182 armor = ~23% damage reduction w/ Inner Fire): hits for ~1200, crits for 2000+, sometimes uses Frost Nova for about 700 dmg . I spent most of the time to heal myself and used Power Word: Shield, Renew and Prayer of Mending whenever possible. Fhwoor and my Shadow Word: Pain did most of the damage, with the occasional Mind Blast and Smite.

Make sure to kill his two non-elite adds first. While the adds can be feared, Ssslith himself is immune to fear!

I had to use my Shadowfiend and was completely oom afterwards. Unlike other escort quests which are "group quests", this one is somewhere between somewhat challenging and nearly impossible, depending from your class and equipment.

Just solo'd this as a lvl 70 fury warrior with Karazhan tanking gear. Was kinda close cause I had about 400hp left. First killed the 2 adds ofcourse and then tried to keep up spell reflect and shield block to minimize dmg income. Fhwoor did most of the dps i guess :)

This quest is very easily completed solo as a Discipline/Holy priest at level 70.

Fhwoor slowly stomps around the naga camps; he makes a mostly semicircular path through the camp, grabbing the ark on the way. Of course, he has a tendency, like most escorted NPCs, to pull basically everything in the area, so I strongly suggest pulling things ahead of time. The naga are easy to kill and whole groups of them should not be a problem at all, though. Be sure to keep Fwhoor relatively unharmed (if you play a class which can heal, you can cast healing spells on him), because if he dies, the quest is, unsurprisingly, over.

Once Fhwoor clears the naga camps, there is a brief delay before an elite naga along with two guards (a melee fighter and a caster) shows up. They all charge Fwhoor, so try to pull the elite and another off of him. I recommend killing the enchantress (the caster) first, as she dies very quickly, and then finishing off the melee naga (or just keeping him crowd-controlled throughout the fight---Fwhoor can take him out on his own, too). Then, simply focus on the elite naga, who will die very swiftly when under attack by a 70th-level character.

If you are lower level than 70, you may need to bring friends for this quest. However, if you are 70th-level and decently-geared, you should not have a big problem with protecting Fwhoor and killing the elite naga at the end.

Warlocks have no problems soloing thins either... i guess hunters are the same. I'm talking about lvl 70 ofc.

The quest is available for level 63 so they're pretty good weapons for only one level, when you hit level 64 they're decent.

Easy soloable for lvl70 frostmage
Did it without any potions/buffs, so i think it will be very easy if u have em..
Make food/water and always keep urself on top (eat/drink after every fight)
You need to escort Fhwoor to naga camp and return him home safely. Fhwoor is strong and can solo some mobs. However it will be extremely easy if u kill some mobs at camp before event..

After Fhwoor gets what he need there in camp, he will start moving back to Sporeggar, just outside the naga camp appears angry Ssslith, elite naga, with some guards. U need to kill adds as fast as possible, while Fhwoor tanks Ssslith, counterspell enchantress, freeze guards and kill em..
Then use trinkets/icy veins, anything u got, and kill Ssslith..
Watch Fhwoor's hp ! U have to be very fast on adds because Ssslith hits hard, and Fhwoor will be low on health pretty fast..
Dont forget to spellsteal mana shield, when Ssslith casts it and instantly dispell it from urself

Not that it really matters (since you're already exalted), but the rep gains given is incorrect. I was 2/1000 rep when I did it, and received 997 Sporeggar rep (enough to give me max 999/1000).

I tried soloing it a couple of times as an epicced 70 Fire mage. It's pretty close to impossible. Either ask someone to help you or respec Frost. ;)

Not a terribly hard quest i just soloed as a level 66 Death-Knight speced into blood. Did not pot once. ended with less than 10% health but definently do able

I just did this and got 505 (up to maximum of 999/1000 rep) wonder if u could slay some spore dudes and then turn in the quest to regain exalted (same with other quest with other factions where u can only do them once ur exalted) coz i know there are some quests where once u complete u reach like say honored

Actually at lvl 70, this quest's reward is almost 20g (if you pick the axe).

How so?
84s for the quest itself and 9g25s29c for vendoring the axe = 10g9s29c...

I hate escort quests as a rule, but this is one of the worst ever. This stupid guy walks soooo slow, and when we finally did get back and kill the Naga boss I thought it was over and flew away, only to fail the quest. I'm never doing this one again.

This is the one quest that is holding me up on the achievement toward Loremaster.... Bit ridiculous you have to have a such a high rep for the quest.... *shakes fist at Blizzard*

As of patch 4.3 I can confirm this is quest is available upon honored reputation instead of exalted!

The quest currently gives 1050 rep before bonuses. That may be what it tried to give before 4.3, but you were guaranteed to hit the 999 Exalted cap first because you had to be Exalted already to pick it up. Now you just have to be Honored. (I know 1050 looks like 1000 with a 5% bonus, but with a 5% bonus I got 1103 rep.)

You accompany Fhwoor as he goes up to where you farm the Bloodscale Slavedrivers and Bloodscale Enchantresss to for Now That We're Friends... and Now That We're Still Friends.... He picks up the Ark of Ssslith there. On the way back, Ssslith attacks. Originally Ssslith used to be exalted and it was a group quest, but no longer. I had also picked up Now That We're Still Friends... again before starting this one, and had credit for all 6 Bloodscale Enchantresss and 9 Bloodscale Slavedrivers by the time the quest was done. In theory, you could keep abandoning this one and repeatably use Fhwoor to help you with Now That We're Still Friends..., but it wouldn't be worth it. Fhwoor moves pretty quickly between Sporeggar and the Naga village, but you still have to do things at Fhwoor's pace.

You no longer have to be exalted with Sporeggar in order to talk to Fhwoor and pick up the quest Fhwoor Smash!. You can pick this quest up once you hit Honored with the Sporeggar. I also suggest you pick up Now That We're Friends... Fhwoor will take you into the mobs for Now That We're Friends.. therefore, you can complete both quests together.

This is unquestionably the longest escort quest in the entire game. While you can combine it with the repeatable quest Now That We're Still Friends, which also involves killing Naga, it takes so long it really isn't worth it. I am convinced it has been lengthened since the last time I levelled a character through Zangramarsh years ago. While It does give rep for Sporregar, it is not part of a chain, from a purely time management perspective or power levelling you'd be much better off just grinding through Coilfang Reservoir dungeons to gain rep with them. In addition, picking up five Sanguine Hibiscus in Underbog grants 250 rep with them when turned in for the repeatable quest Bring Me Another Shrubbery!

If you thought this escort quest was horrible before, try doing it with War Mode enabled. With the changes to world content scaling, the addition of Allied Races and the incentivized benefits of War Mode bringing a renewed interest in leveling, expect to fail this quest and never attempt it again.

It's been years since I last did this quest, and I had honestly no clue that it would take such a long time to complete. The entire trip to and from the naga camp, I had my head in my palms, wishing that it would just be over.

Bit of a monkey's paw wish on my part.

At the tail end of the escort, right as I killed Ssslithis and his minions with zero effort, a couple of players on the opposing faction - around my level, too - swooped in and killed me with zero care or realization that I was doing an escort quest. Ten minutes of my time, wasted on some fungal giant carrying some stupid box halfway across the lake, only for the quest to fail and making my efforts all for naught.

I was so absolutely livid that I couldn't even remember the names of the people who ganked me, and decided to relieve my anger by hopping onto my main and fishing for the next couple of hours.

Moral of the story: If you're in War Mode, DO NOT ATTEMPT THIS MISSION IF YOU VALUE YOUR SANITY.

i did this quest today during loremaster. fhwoor is as slow as ever but he runs on the way back now
. sidenote: if he is not near the village to give you the quest then another player is already doing the quest with him. you have to wait until he returns to take the quest

Fhwoor Smash!

Escort Fhwoor into the area of the Marshlight steam pump to retrieve the Ark of Ssslith. Bring Fhwoor and the ark back safely and then report back to Gzhun'tt at Sporeggar in Zangarmarsh.
