BFD is filled with 22-27 Elites. A group of three should be able to do this easily since most of the mobs are spread apart enough to allow single combat. The manuscript is located in one of the many chests inside the instance and is easily obtained. A solo attempt at around 33 should be feasible.

This is located in a specific chest. The chest is just to your right as you enter the room with turtles. It is under the water in the alcove just to the right on the North end. There are a few single pull naga which must be killed.

You're looking for a grey Pitted Iron Chest (http://www.wowhead.com/?object=13949) underwater in the northern leg of the big Pool of Ask'ar cave. It's where Ghamoo-ra the 25 elite turtle sits on the island in the middle. Inside the chest is the Lorgalis Manuscript that you need for the quest.

There is something wrong with the quick info summary here - it is either not sharable or not obtainable at lvl 10. I just tried to share the quest with a lowbie alt I was going to twink through the instance, and it told me that the person was not eligible for this quest - they were lvl 15.

My guess is that the quest is NOT sharable.

It is shareable, i am a level 46 paladin as of now and i had a level 20 share the quest with me.

As a 48 warrior, I took a 60 friend with me thinking I would have to fight.

At 48, you can run around all the mobs, and only need to fight 2 or 3 naga near the chest. Didn't even need the 60s help.

This quest DOES count toward the Loremaster of Kalimdor achievement.

On a side note, this chest does not track using the 'Find Treasure' dwarven racial.

You would not be eligible for this quest if you have the quest "The Powers Below" (http://www.wowhead.com/?quest=968) in your quest log. It's an optional prerequisite for this quest. I didn't know this and I was trying to get the quest shared but it said Not Eligible. So, if you want to get this quest shared without travelling a long way to IF to turn it in first, you need to abandon "The Powers Below".

This page reports that you receive 18 reputation towards all factions, which is incorrect. At 80 I received 75 rep.

If you haven't figured this out, or read the Manuscript, Bonegrip is talking about the Old Gods when he mentions the "Sleeping Ones". Is that 1 strength and 4 spirit REALLY worth helping loose Yogg'Saron upon the world?

Did as a solo 36. Annoying corpse run. Easy till you get to the chest, but it's surrounded by lvl 22-23 'elites'. not sure what that means, but they seem much harder to kill. :(
First run I got to the chest, but was killed while trying to open it.
Second run when I got to the Turtle Room I went left, circling around while staying A. on the surface thereby not attacked by anything, B. to the walls to avoid the turtles. When I got to the alcove (sorry,forgot to look for coords-but it's got lots of seaweeds) I continued to stay on the surface and against the wall until I was 'behind' the chest. From there I slid down the wall, underwater and waited for the naga to move away. I was able to get to the chest, open it and retrieve the item before the naga got back. I retraced my steps on the way out. I fought no one this run.

At level 34 I was able to slip through most of the mobs to get to this without a group, as I outleveled it. The two naga in front of it will likely aggro, however.

Contrary to what the red text at the top of the page says, you can still get this quest and turn it in, the quest giver and receiver are inside the instance, just past where you zone in.

This quest was marked obsolete by Blizzard and cannot be obtained or completed.

Bring the Lorgalis Manuscript to Sentinel-trainee Issara at the Blackfathom Camp.

Description

It is my duty to collect lore. Old lore. Powerful lore. Lore that opens doorways, and lore that could awaken more of Those Who Sleep if it is mishandled.

There are rumors of an old piece of lore, the Lorgalis Manuscript, at the bottom of Blackfathom Deeps in to the west. That place is the old dwelling of our long-dead ancestors. They held great knowledge before their city fell to ruin.

Search Blackfathom Deeps for the manuscript. Do this, and I will not forget it. Not even in these end days.
