Comes from the Haal'eshi that wander around in the Den of Haal'esh south of Falcon Watch. Had a relatively high drop rate for me, at least 50%.

Idk about that drop rate, it really sucked for me. Ive been killing them for like 30 mins and only have 1.

I didnt have a problem with the drop rate, more the spawn rate and what Id consider a damage/health imbalance of the Haal mobs.
I found them popping within a minute or less behind me as I was making my way into the grotto but it wasent consistent.
They hit HARD, attack quickly, and as a result tend to crit often, more than most mobs do normally or while enraged (300 dmg to cloth on a regular basis) Be prepared and avoid groups. In an attempt to run away (blinking, mana shield, etc) got dazed several times and I went from full health down to near death, dropped a major healing pot back up, and then back down to almost dead before they left. They also have a repeatable rush that doesnt do any damage but puts them right in front of you (bad if your ranged).

Tried to talk to a GM about it but for some reason he/she said they couldnt give hints. Dont even know if they understood what I was talking about.

I recommend saving this quest until you are level 61, as there is an escort NPC in the area where you get the scrolls that requires you to be level 61 to accept.

Here are the actual mobs with their drop rates. The drop rates are slightly higher than what is shown because they will not drop for people who are not on the quest or have it completed.

The windwalkers drop them most of the time but not always...... and the Talonguards drop them some times

I actually got around a 60% droprate on these. Really fast quest.

Hm, I would concur with the fast drop rate. I got my 4 scrolls within the first 6 or 7 mobs I killed. That seems pretty consistent with the 60% rate figure. Perhaps it was changed with the last patch?

Got all 4 of the scrolls from my first 4 Haal'eshi Talonguards.
They are at 26,78 . The droprate (for me) was 100%.

Easily the most annoying drop-based quest I've done in all of Outland. I got the first three scrolls on the first three kills. My fourth scroll came on my 20th kill.

Also, can be done with Birds of a Feather, if you can stand to. On all my characters I've passed up this and Birds of a Feather, because of the drop- and spawn-rate I got on both, and the annoyance of facing the mobs involved (especially the small birds that assist). It's just not worth it.

Description

Outland holds many secrets, <name>. It's only a matter of time before we uncover them all.

The half-bird, half-man species of the arakkoa possesses ancient arcane knowledge that would aid us greatly in our exploration of this world. Travel to the Den of Haal'esh, south of here. Obtain any magical scrolls that the Haal'eshi might be carrying on them and bring them to me.
