I've heard from the other scouts about that metal--the shadowgraft. The domanaar use it to enforce their control over others.
I have to imagine that there's someone holding the reins still. Maybe it's Xal'atath, or maybe someone else. Gather pieces of their shadowgraft and maybe we can make sense of who.
There are multiple styles of shadowgraft in the samples you collected. It seems like there are multiple domanaar vying for control of the power vacuum left here in Obscurion. Xal'atath must not be in command here.
