Don't go in the hole where the NPC is standing. These things are on the outside of the hole and in a couple of the surrounding caves(not the hole).

Picking the dialogue option "I don't want to kill younglings" also debuffs you for 30% of your maximum health.

I rather appreciate the "extra" way to do the quest.
While it may not really have any point or reward in it, it does give a bit of the missing roleplaying in wow that has been missing for a long time.
And hey, maybe some of us would like the option to pass on murdering babies, monster or not.

If you try to do this quest before level 86 you may notice that the Reliquary of Darkness says it requires level 86 to use it. However, you can still click the young wildlife at a lower level and it seems to work fine for completing the quest.

Some of these guys are underground. Seems like they would be easier. But when you try to get to them, you have to be ables to see a dark black-purple cave against a dark black-purple background.

Fly around a look for the guys outside.

There is a druid-specific change in the dialogue option if you choose not to kill the babies, something along the lines of "We should maintain the balance." I liked that. :)

I took the option not to kill the babies. But some of them are in caves and the debuff disappears in the cave so I ended up killing them nevertheless. How cruel!

Description

I summoned my first imp in a dirty, haze-filled lounge beneath Murder Row after a dozen failed attempts. Each time, I reached further for what made so-called greater powers submit to mortals. I finally managed it after wetting my hands with the hot blood of a young rabbit. Bloodthistle never satisfied me again. I have matured my technique since then. Seek the whelps of these beasts. Siphon their energy into my reliquary of darkness. From their sacrifice, we will draw the power to defeat Kalgorg.
