6600 xp for me at level 55 for this first turnin. it might be worth doing each of these quests once if you can get the mats cheaply or along the way as you level

Post 2.3, this quest now gives 9550 exp and 1000 Argent Dawn Experience.

Does anyone know exactly where you can find these "Dark Iron Scraps"? Tried searching Wowhead.com and looked on the Auction House, and I couldn't find anything.

Can anyone confirm that, at ~Level 55, the rewarded experience is 9550 XP? This post states that pre-2.3 the quest yielded 6000 XP.

That would be a percent increase of nearly 60% which, at first glance, seemed unlikely.

Head for Dreadmaul Rock (south end starts at 81,54) in the Burning Steppes and kill the level 50 - 53 ogres. It's a good place to farm the Dark Iron Scraps.

Just tested this out but doing this quest (not the repeatable one, obviously, but the first turn in) DOES count for Loremaster of EK.

Thats because at first it's a yellow quest, so that means it yields experience, thus it's a valid quest for the Loremaste of Eastern Kingdoms achievement. After that the quest turns into a repeatable one.

Heirloom shoulders only grant extra exp on killing a monster.

This quest DOES count for Loremaster of Eastern Kingdoms as well as for the 3,000 quest achievement, along with 1,000 reputation gain with Argent Dawn.

I do today this quest and reputation reward is not 500 but 1000, after finish quest 30 dark iron scraps give 20 reputation ...

No, he was probably a human, since heirloom armor only adds to the experience gained from killing things, not from quest turn ins.

Korfax at Light's Hope Chapel in the Eastern Plaguelands wants 30 Dark Iron Scraps.

Description

Have you ever seen Dreadnaught armor, <class>? No, of course you haven't. You're still a <boy/girl> - a tyke. Let me tell you, it is glorious.

You're probably asking yourself what any of this has to do with you, right? I'll tell you what, scrub; I need Dark Iron scraps and I'm willing to pay to get my hands on as many as possible.

I need the scraps to put together sets of Dreadnaught for our champions. Bring me scraps and get paid.
