You have to fish from a specific pool that spawns at the quest marker. It has a very long respawn time and disappears as soon as anyone fishes from it.

If the pools aren't appearing in the water, try going into your quest log, highlighting this quest, then select 'untrack' and then 'track' again. This is what made the pools appear for me.

The pools look like a yellow green oil slick. If you dont see one at the quest marker, log out/in or fly away and back, or try the track/untrack trick. They appear to be personal, so if it isn't showing, it's likely a bug. Fishing from the pool will get you the quest item in 2-4 casts (the 1st one was more like 4ish casts at level 1 fishing - i was a whopping level 13 fishing when I finished the quest). Don't waste your time trying to fish anywhere but the special pools, you will not get the item (I tried for a few mins for funsies).

It appears that if you re-cast on the pool (to better land your bobber in it), you will not get the fish and the pool will de-spawn. Flying away and doing other things for a bit made it come back for me.

I wonder whose idea it was to make the pool disappear whenever someone fishes from it instead of just being a permanent thing

If the greenpool doesn't appear do a /reload. That did the trick for me. Or you can relog as well

DO NOT DO THIS IN A GROUP!

Once ANY member of your group fishes from the green pool, it despawns for all of you and you have to wait ~5 min for it to reappear.
Reload/leave area/etc. do not do anything, I expect most ppl just reload around the respawn-time randomly.

Do it solo and it goes by way faster

Flying away and coming back seems to work in respawning the green pools. Multiple people in my guild had this work for them as well

The last pool took about 5 1/2 minutes to respawn.

None of the suggestions here (/reload, track/untrack, fly away and return) work. It "worked" for those people only as a coincidence with the respawn time of the pool.

This is a timed spawn fishing pool... you just have to wait for it to return.

Be patient and wait, fish and level up your fishing skill, or just come back later... no rush on this quest.

Solaarian Sunbath pond.
You must fish there, and nowhere else.
Sunbath nodes are the only place to fish.
Fishing elsewhere in other nodes do not give the special fish for this quest.
From my experience, you get one cast per node, and the cast will be 100% on the fish you require.
Wait out the respawn on the nodes.
That's fishing, folks.

To me it seems that the respawn of the pools are actually on personal / group level.

Other people could acquire while i did too.

My recommendation is to just sit there chill and fish, it will spawn then for the upcoming nodes do the same.

The Silvermoon Must Know quest unlocks this quest to start Sunbath, Take Me Away for Sojourner. The Midnight account-wide achievement unlocks this as well.

This will save many a lot of time on this quest. If you are unable to find the pools to fish from, go to your quest log, click untrack and track again. This will bring up the pools. Now, this took me about 3-4 minutes to figure out. Once you fish from that pool and catch one of the 3 fish he's asking for, you must take that 1 fish to him, give him the fish and he will spawn another pool to fish from. You must do this 3 times to collect all the fish he needs, then go to him to turn it in. You must take him each fish separately. I hope this helps.

You have to use your actuall Fishing skill button - not click the pool! - took me half an hour to figure out

If you're like me and playing on a fresh alt with no fishing skill, the fishing trainer is located right next to quest giver. Talk to Melandra at (48.6,76.1) to learn the fishing skill.
