The shards can be seen and clicked both in normal world and while phase diving. You need to be out in the normal world for it to work, though.
Click away Phase Diving from your buffs if you click it and nothing happens

After completing The Void Confluence you have to leave Untethered Space (if you were in it) to get this quest from Leona. You can do this by clicking off your buff - no need to go back to the teleporter.

Currently players are unable to interact with the Southern Fragment. I attempted to interact with them phased and unphased.

I am quite phased with not being able to complete this quest.

Like many other players, I was unable to click the crystals at first. What worked for me was switching to a different shard. After doing so, I was able to interact with them. Clicking a crystal spawns void mobs that must be defeated to complete the objective.

To change shards, join a random party (not a raid group, as quest objectives cannot be completed in raids) through the group finder. Make sure the group members are currently in Karesh, otherwise, you will not phase into their shard.

Suitable groups include those for events like "Maw of the Sands" or the world boss "Reshanor", as long as they are listed as party groups.

You need to kill the waves of adds that spawn after clicking the fragment, until a bigger one appears. The quest only progresses after you defeat that bigger one.
I ran away right away and thought it was bugged 😄

Cave entrance is at /way 56 24. i left cave not realizing quest turn in was in there. had hell o time finding entrance again. hope this helps the next person.

I can click the shard, but nothing happens, no waves come. No progress in quest is being made. I tried to abandon the quest to do it again, this seemed to fix the issue. Don't be in the phase. After I took the quest again, the waves then came and the quest progression was completed.

Southern fragment just will not click no matter what we try, tried sharding with another group tried abandoning and re taking to no avail.....Its in the forums of the PTR that it was broke.....come on blizzard that's treasures and quests broken

The quest giver is inside a cave . I experienced NO issues picking up and completing the quest line.

Cave is at /way 56 24
and is completed non-phased or /cancelaura Phase Diving
If you can't click a shard don't worry! Kill the mobs in the area. Sometimes the shard bugs out and is not clickable if someone in the area is doing the quest.
Keep killing the nearby mobs and wait until Levianon the Starved spawns
After you kill him you'll get credit for that shard. Southern Shard seems to be the one most frequently bugged.

I was stuck like everyone else, ended up having a friend on a different server invite me to group. The resulting change to their shard when I joined activated the shard and made it clickable.

If you're not able to click the shards, ask someone for a group or look for a group to phase-change, and then you will be able to click the shards. That's the way it worked for me.

I was having issues clicking on the shards, tried a party and it did not help. I logged out and when I came back in, I was then able to activate the shard. I might have had something applied to me that went away when I logged out.

I was able to interact with the southern fragment when I was phased then you click off your phased buff and can complete the quest by killing the spawning mobs

It is FIXED as for today!
Upon the interaction with the crystal few unfriendly dudes will appear from the portal, you kill them, quest done!

after i clicked on the last shard and killed all the mobs, I aggroed something invisible and it was hitting me for major health every couple of seconds. There was an icon for something like a brown murloc under the minimap. Also with every hit a black circle flashed on upper left screed. Didn't have time to look close. Tried exiting before dying and no luck. Restarted dead. Rezed in the cave.

In warmode i could pick up the fragments, i tried this because on non warmode i couldn't click them.

Description

Adarus is preparing his mind and body for the ritual. Our task is to place the fragment at two points within this cavern, which will both align the crystal to the void energy in the area and attract any void entities that reside nearby. Defeat those entities and their essence will be absorbed into the fragment, empowering it further.
