With mount enchants and fast running you can get the papers signed twice from 1 kill. You will have around 5-10 seconds to spare though so if you are using a slow comp, wasting few seconds on loading chars at Cenarion Hold might cost you this opportunity. Just remember to prepare the papers before you start the event since it has a cooldown.

You guys all know the Silithus "Field Duty" quest which requires a healer in order to complete it, (the healer has to heal the captain so he doesnt die while killing the abonimation in silithus at 32,52. Have you ever wanted to kill some time doing this repeatable quest over and over, but there are no healers in silitihus that are willing to help? Well, fear no more! (well fear as much as you can haha, lol youl laugh later). This exploit is for warlocks only----- 1. go to 32,52 and call out the abonimation. 2. let the NPCs get a lil agro. 3. And after they have agro and have done the amount of damage that the captain is on 50% health-- start to chain fear the abonimation. The captain and NPCs follow the abonimation... When the captain is far enough from the camp, he will run back (so might the footmen, but thats ok) 4. Now sit back and relax, when the few NPCs die that were killing the abomination they will run on you (means agro is on you so be carul) Now the main goal is to get the abomination to the footmen + captain in the camp and hope that the abomination AOEs. Once he AOEs, the captain will get agro (dont worry the abomination AOEs alooot) 5. And your set, they should be able to kill the abomination from now. Few known bugs-- somtimes when your unlucky- you basically fear him in a circle thus, the captain will not go far anough to run back... This has happened once to me but ill write it anyway.. When the few mobs that died that had the agro on the abomination-- for some reason he didnt run on me-- so he regened life, so in my opinion you can bypass this by always having a curse on him. Well... Thats that! Its true that it doesnt always work but its ok still good for me! Good luck.

This is something of an old quest now, but you can solo this as a warrior using a cunning trick.

To do so, maneuver the bug over near the tent. Once the bug is in position, climb up onto the stack of boxes near the tent, taunt, and jump up onto the roof. The bug will evade, and the NPCs will reset. To reset the bug, move to the opposite side of the roof and break line of sight.

Once the bug resets, Krug and a few other NPCs will whale on the bug while it does nothing. You can join in and help to speed up the process.

Seems you don't even have to engage combat with the creature now.
I positioned myself in the background and waited for the captain to need additional heals, but they perfectly killed the creature without a single action from me.

Quest ends at Krug Skullsplit (52.2 , 68.4), not Windcaller Kaldon.

There is essentially no point in doing any of this series or the follow-up assignments unless you're looking for reputation gains or the item rewards; no experience is awarded for any of them so it's a waste of time to complete while levelling if you possess the expansion.

In order to complete this quest first you must go to Krug Skullsplit and help him defete (with me) a lv 60 elete. then you must talk to him again to get the signed papers. Then in order to complete it you must go back to Windcaller Kaldon.

I don't know if this still works, but, Pre BC, once you kill the 60 elite and get the papers signed, immediatly hearth to the Cenarion Hold, hand in the quest, get it again, then epic mount back to Krug, and he should still be able to sign the paper for you, so you can get 2 hand-ind per kill.

doing field duty quest for 50 rep is nothing but the follow up assignment is were you will earn your rep....I suggest doing this quest multiple time in order to get a good selection of tack.... several of these task will overlap..

Logistic, combat, tatical follow up quest
Doing these quest for rep of 150 may not seem much but you can turn in the 3 badges (one of each Logistic, combat, tatical) for a 1,000 point of rep which make this a great way of power up your rep with Cenarion Circle

Is it me or has this become bugged for horde? I turn in the quest and they set up and say an attack is coming, then 3-5 mins later the bug boss finally spawns.

Took me approximately 8 minutes for the event to spawn, and I bug reported it. took 2 minutes to down the elite as a 62 Moonkin, 504 DPS.

Krug Skullsplit is located at 52,68.

After few minetes of waiting, an elite will spawn - Hive'Regal Hunter-Killer. It has over 122k of hp, but you don`t have to worry as most of the dps will come from NPCs.

Honestly, doing all of these quests seems like a horrible way to grind rep if you do the math...

Assuming you do four combat, tactical, and logistic quests, you will be given 4 sets of medallions for 4000 rep, plus another 1950 for doing the actual quests (150 rep per tactical, combat, or logistic quest, and doing the field duty quest 3 times to have those quests become available to you). That is a total of about 6000 rep. Note that each time you complete the field duty quest, you get to choose 4 combat, tactical, or logistic quests, which is how i came up with 4 sets of medallions.

To get 6000 rep by turning in these, you would need to farm 75 of them. Each text is worth 50 rep, since it takes 10 to turn in for 500 rep, and since theres about a 1/3 chance for mobs to drop them, each text comes out to being worth 80 rep. 6000/80=75. Now obviously you cant turn in 75, it would have to be 80, but this is purely a math argument.

So, your options are A) killing 120 sylithid, running to the AH and buying a crap load of mats, and running around trying to summon the various templar (unless you are lucky and get an easy quest), or B) killing ~225 twilight hammer members, since 75*3=225 assuming a 1/3 drop rate. At lvl 80, i could do that in about an hour, probably less if i worked out a good routine and killing her every time she spawns.

Note I am talking about solo play here, as everything is easier in groups. By yourself, though, it will take much longer to go through all the field duty quests than it would just grinding the texts. Feel free to vote this down if you feel my math was wrong, or you simply like these quests over monotonous grinding

The spawning event for this quest is moderately bugged; the silithid takes several minutes to spawn after talking to Krug. However, if you start another event shortly after, there will be no delay. If you're planning to do several Assignments and will therefore be doing this quest several times, I recommend doing them all at once, thus avoiding the wait on all of them after the first one.

I'm not sure exactly how much time you have, but every time this worked for me the corpse of the previous kill was still present. It takes about 2 minutes to run back to Cenarion Hold and get a new quest, and Unsigned Field Duty Papers have a 3 minute cooldown; both of these are well within your window of opportunity.

If you had to wait 10 mins for it to spawn, you are doing it wrong. If you are alliance, you are on the wrong page here.

If you are Horde, you run down the hill and turn right to head towards the mob. If you don't know where it comes from, then basically follow the edge of the "valley" where you have just turned right. It will spawn the moment you start the event but if it is not within distance of a player, it will move EXTREMELY slowly resulting in the 10 min wait times being claimed.

If you run down the hill and don't come into sight of the mob, you are running the wrong way. The moment you get to the bottom of the hill, hug the wall to your right.

This quest was marked obsolete by Blizzard and cannot be obtained or completed.

Report to Krug Skullsplit at the Orgrimmar Legion post in front of Hive'Regal. Prepare your Unsigned Field Duty Papers, obtain Signed Field Duty Papers and bring them to Windcaller Kaldon in Cenarion Hold.

Note: Healing or casting beneficial spells on a member of the Orgrimmar Legion will flag you for PvP.
