To the south, fight "Spawn of Shadra" and collect Bonecarapace Fangs.
To the east, go down a little set of stairs and fight "Child of Hir'eek" and collect Bloodvein Clot.
Place the Bonecarapace Fangs into the Vase on the left of the altar.
Place the Bloodvein Clot into the Vase on the right of the altar.
- The door is open. Follow the path.
In the next room, you click on the discs (An image will appear) and match them to their corresponding color of another disc. If you click on the center Disc, you are transformed into a frog for a short period of time.

Then turn the quest in and continue your campaign!

Can't find the quest giver for this. Not at mark on map. ugh

edit: go to 56.85 65.8 for enterance to underground area for quest. TomTom addon has already been updated for Midnight and gives coordinates!

Kill Spawn of Shadra and Child of Hir'eek to the left of the altar and loot Bonecarapace Fangs, Bloodvein Clot.
Place items into vases left and right of the altar
In the next room you have to find a match for the color that you chose.

To complete the puzzle - click the discs on the ground and match two of the same colour in a row until you've matched all 4 colours. Don't click on the middle disc.

It took me longer than I care to admit to figure that out.

I killed the spider 5 times and still don't have the quest item.

Killed the spider and the bat, got the items, opened the next door to the nine discs on the floor. None of them trigger when I walk over them. Not even the middle one that turns you into a frog. I've abandoned and retaken the quest a couple of times, and logged out and in a couple of times, nothing works.

Submitted a bug report.

Shouldn't Arathor have say "we elves do not revere our ancenstors as the TROLLS do" instead of "as the ORCS do"?

The objective is to open two of each of 4 colors of mask. They do not have to be adjacent to each other, just anywhere on the board is fine as long as you get 2.

When you kill the Spider and the Bat in the first puzzle rooms, take note that the required items can't be looted from the corpses (they simply aren't there) and they won't appear in your bags. Don't be a silly sausage like me and keep repeating the kills in the hope that repeating the same actions will have different results - just go back and click on the vases when you've killed the beasties and you will find new dialogue allowing you to place the otherwise invisible items inside! If working out that you have the items after the kills even though you have no evidence of their existence was another puzzle, then I failed the test miserably.... but I hope perhaps my own failure can help stop you wasting a lot of time!

i've got 2 of same color over and over and over and nothing happens.

If you are stuck on the puzzle part (discs on the floor), try facing due south so the room which is blocked is in your sight line. Once positioned in that direction, click on the discs trying to get the same color back to back. Do not click on the middle disc as that will not yield a colored disc but will just turn you into a frog. Remember you need to match the colored discs in a row but on successive picks. Pick 1 needs to match pick 2; pick 3 needs to match match pick 4 and so on. Once you match a color, it will appear on the door frame of the room you are facing. When you have completed this for all 4 colors, the quest will complete and you can select the next quest from the quest giver.

If the puzzle isn't working and seems bugged go back out of the room and re-enter. Make sure you trigger the quest objective about "explore further". The tiles kept re-setting until I realized the quest hadn't triggered.
