A Surprising Investigation Quest

Find the 5 Impostors
- Maru, around /way 61.83, 50.12
- Big Kinook (next to Moira, around /way 62.92, 49.71)
- Lorewalker Cho, around /way 61.63, 51.1
- Reshad, on the Fashion Stage, around /way 63.05, 49.18
- Jepetto Joybuzz, near the Story stage, around /way 63.81, 51.72

You have to tell them that they are in the wrong timeline. Then go back to Detective Jones who will ask you to Distribute Letters. You have to click on the item on your bag and next to the people:

- Shademaster Kiryn /way 61.84, 50.4
- Petra /way 61.97, 50.13
- Jepetto Joybuzz /way 62.17, 49.72
- Vanni Thorngage /way 62.84, 49.41
- Koltira Deathweaver and Lord Thessarian /way 62.96, 49.23
- Moira Thaurissan /way 62.97, 49.60
- Arcanist Valtrois and Stellagosa /way 63.36, 49.6
- Lilian Voss /way 63.14, 49.45

After that, you need to get a Lucky Feast => Go to Bonenose /way 60.71, 44.79
He will send you to Wavestrider Beach to Althelton Jones /way 65.81, 41.8
Then you can validate to Alyx, who is now "Celebrated Volunteer Finally recognized for Their Work", on the beach (/way 66.19, 40.96) and get the achievement I Saved the Party and All I Got Were These Lousy Hats

Athelton Jones gives you the quest "A Surprising Investigation", in which you have to identify 5 imposters.

Imposter #1 - Reshad

The imposter Reshad is on the Fashion Frenzy stage at 63.04, 49.24.

Imposter #2 - Maru

The imposter Maru is at the Pet Playground area at 61.91, 49.90.

Imposter #3 - Lorewalker Cho

The imposter Lorewalker Chop is outside of the ice rink at 61.65, 51.05.

Imposter #4 - Jepetto Joybuzz

The imposter Jepetto Joybuzz is outside of the Story Time at 63.79, 51.76.

Imposter #5 - Big Kinook

The imposter Big Kinook is outside of the Dark Iron Mole Miner at 63.02, 49.86.

The order of imposters does NOT matter, you can get them in any order.

When you return to Athelton Jones, he'll have you hand out 10 letters. These are basically a small AoE targeted cast, just toss them at most named NPCs to get your 10.

Finally, Detective Jones has you go obtain a "Lucky Feast". Go to Bonenose in Tanaris at 60.91, 44.73 to pick up the feast.

He'll send you to the Northern Beach, which is in Tanaris at 65.82, 41.76.

Talk to Athelton Jones, then see Alyx nearby at 66.21, 40.94 to complete the quest and the achievement!

Idk if I'am doing something wrong, but i can not do the letters part. The item i get is just 'Letters' and it's not clickable at all. tryied re-doing the Q, reloading etc. nothing helped :/

I can't get the first part of this quest to complete. I've spoken to Maru and told all 5 imposters to go home, but I get no credit!

If you're confused on where the North Beach is and you don't have coordinates, like me, the location is directly above the caverns of time on the map, on the shoreline where the leftmost cave icon is :)

Was curious if it was just me, or a bug, but the quest reward showed 16 Bronze Celebration Tokens awarded when complete, but I only received 8.

Happen to anyone else?

With these detective things i at least try to give them a go with my own brain power before i come to wow head.

But right at the start i couldn't figure out what i was supposed to do, unless i missed something from the dialogue boxes or something.

From what i can tell there's two ways to figure out who the imposters are
- Talk to EVERYONE with a dialogue icon.
- Spent a lot of time in the anniversary area AND paid attention to the NPC's you interact with and paid attention to where all those NPC's were. Then when you're running around the area looking for imposters, you see NPC's and you think "hmm, aren't they normally over by that other thing on the opposite side of the anniversary area".

Apologies if i missed something obvious in the quest texts and you're reading this comment and thinking "yeah, duh".

Man, I did the third chapter of quests a while ago and completely forgot about the 'lucky feast' from a previous quest so had no clue what the hint was supposed to be. Some kind of small reminder that it was something I'd done already would have been nice.

Previous: Festive Reflections
This is part 2 of day 2 of chapter 4 of I Saved the Party and All I Got Were These Lousy Hats, concludes the chapter, awards the achievement, and grants that criterion of Azeroth's Greatest Detective.
Next you can work on crates and stories, which were also unlocked by the Guest Relations tutorial (A Whiff of Help), if you haven't done them already:
Celebration Crates (Crate Insurance Agent), starting at Alyx with "Do you have any harder challenges?" The first crate, which has no Ransom Note, is Hazy Celebration Crate (although at this point they can be done in any order).
Local stories (Assistant to the Assistant Guest Relations Manager), staring at the Darkmoon Fortune Card next to her, which leads to Deck Dismay (although at this point they can be done in any order).

Description

Well, look who's back to solve more cases. It seems that Chromie has been fiddling with time again and some imposters have popped up around the celebration area. All you need to do is identify who doesn't belong and send them to Chromie. This should be a breeze for you.
