For anyone checking for this quest in week 1 of the new patch:

A few of the community resources for this have incorrectly indicated this opens on the first week. The official blizzard statements have all said this opens after completion of chapter 4 which should be available on 8/12/25.

Fishing gives you 1%, collecting robots with data gives you 3%.

If you are short 5% and no anima attack is going on fish up 5 of the fish form the quest. They will put you up.

▶ TLDR: There are multiple things you can do to get credit for this, but probably the fastest way is to just do the weekly quests (Eco-Dome Repeatables) and/or Devourer Attacks' Bosses Quest Items (Making a Deposit) as each of them give 20% credit towards the World Quest.

You need to do only 5 things with 20% credit to be done with the World Quest.

If for some reason the World Quest doesn't complete at 100%, leave the Oasis (Eco-Dome) area and then go back again. Thank you Karnick for pointing this out!

▶ WEEKLY QUESTS

Pick weekly quests (Eco-Dome Repeatables) by The Oasis Console from the NPCs around it, like from Ve'nari, Om'talad, Botanist Alaenra and Hemet Nesingwary. Each quest can give up to 20% credit per quest towards the world quest!

You unlock more weekly quests to do the more you complete the story lines in the Oasis (Eco-Dome). These also seem to be something you need to unlock only once, but you will have access to the whole quests lines on alts, if you want to do them again. Check Otherworldly Ecologist for the story lines.
You get more weekly quests on weekends (Saturdays?) to do, if you are looking for to complete the Ecological Succession achievement.

Hint: While not necessarily related to Ecological Successions, I'd recommend picking More Than Just a Phase as well in case if you need to do something in Untethered Space like for example killing the rare Sthaarbs in the Oasis (Eco-Dome) or killing devourers for Anima Reclamation Program.

▶ INSIDE THE OASIS (ECO-DOME)

Killing the rare Sthaarbs inside the Oasis (Eco-Dome) on the platform while in Untethered Space gives 20% credit.
Sthaarb also has chance to drop Sthaarbs's Last Lunch.

Killing the rare Heka'tamos does NOT give any credit.

Torn-up Earth are small dirt piles on the ground you can dig up, and gives 3% credit. Here's some locations where I found them:

Fishing Hydrobites gives you 1% credit. You can do fishing in the deep parts of the water. Here some locations:

Watering plants with Watering Jug gives you 3% credit. You can water basically any groups of large orange, long pink and light violet flowers with it, but you can only do it ONCE per jug. Here's some locations where I found the watering jugs:

Hint: By the Oasis Console you can see the three types (orange, pink and light violet) of K'areshi plants (flowers) you can water.

The "robots" people are referring to are the Data Collection Drone you meet earlier during the Eco Dome quest line. Click to talk to them to get 3% credit. They wander around a bit, but here's some spots:

Visiting Broker start to appear as well inside the Oasis (Eco-Dome), and give 2%, 5% or 8% credit depending on your answer, when you talk to them. You can only talk to each Visiting Broker once.
Assuming they start to appear after you have completed Shameless Hawking

You can use

/target Visiting Broker

to find them easier.

▶ OUTSIDE OF THE OASIS (ECO-DOME)

Devourer Attack's BOSSES around K'aresh have chance to drop items (for example Crystallized Anima drops from Korgoth the Hungerer) for you to get a quest (Making a Deposit) to take it back to Ve'nari and they give 20% credit each quest.

As long as you participate in the events and attack the bosses, you should get the loot from the bosses. No groups necessarily needed.

Note: You can get/complete each item/quest once per week per character.

Hint:

If Anima Reclamation Program is one of the weekly quests, you can get credit for it from the Devourer Attacks as well.
The bosses also drop Devoured Energy-Pod, which you need 20 to get Translocated Gorger.

there were only 4 blue quests which only gave 80% for the Ecological Succession Mega quest, for the remaining 20%, u can do the following:
- interact with the robots (Data collection drone) around the oasis for 3% each (i only found 4)
- fish the rest from the bond for 1% each at /way 75, 32

I just completed it, the reward should be "Wriggling Pinnacle Cache" and it shows in the "General" tab that I received it ; except it is not in my bags (I have 99 free slots) and also not in the Post ; ticket submitted.

Fishing nets 1% for every catch, so if you're stuck at 80%, fish here. /way 75.24, 31.62 Rock in the middle of pool

I got to 100% completion for this area quest, but I got a "Ecological Succession Failed" when it hit 100%. For me to get the reward cache for this area, I had to fly back over to Tazavesh, and complete the "Food Run" daily quest.

the one thing i dont get pretty sure the achievement says daily quest but it's actually a weekly quest. blizzard just don't seem to know what theyre doing

I have the quest. I have 20% for killing one of the rares near the dome. However, no other rares are around, no other quests, nothing else to do in the dome. I haven't got a clue what I'm supposed to do to complete this as none of the earlier quests are available. THIS IS YET ANOTHER EPIC FAIL FROM BLIZZARD!

I wasn't getting any of the dailies that help with this quest until I finished the quest The Royal Procession, where you help the queen find the new hive. Not sure if its sposta be that way or I had a bug or something, but try continuing the bee quests until they all unlock.

I noticed today that while fishing for A Reel Problem, I didn't receive credit for any of the Hydrobite I caught. Once the fishing quest had completed, any fish that I caught after that did count. I don't remember it working like that before, but I might be misremembering.

Warning: this is not raid flagged so if you turn in associated quests that should give credit (devourer attack, anima reclamation, etc) you will not get any credit on the bar.
