I was able to just buy the crests at the Auction House for 2 gold and 75 silver each.

I was also able to buy the shard, but I forget the price.

You need to get the Twilight Cultist Cowl, the Twilight Cultist Mantle and the Twilight Cultist Robe first by killing any mob around (I think). Then wear them and go to a lesser wind stone placed at and . Then some Templar will spawn and when you kill it you get the Abyssal Crest.

Confirmed to count towards Loremaster of Kalimdor (Horde). I can only assume it works for the Alliance Version as well.

Also counts for 3000 Quests Completed.

This one is really bugging me:

To get the Medalion of Station, you'll have to wear the 3 piece set AND the Medalion of Station so that you can get the 3 Abyssal Crests. You turn 1 shard og the 3 Crests in and get the Medalion of Station.... (EDIT: its for the "Normal" Wind Stone)

HOW is that possible ?

HEHE..... there are 3 diff. Windstones: Lesser, "normal", & Greater. I used the "Lesser Wind Stone" and got 1 Abyssal Crest. BUT i lost Mantel AND Robe.

And it seems like if you have some "3 piece" pieces in your bag you will automaticly get equipped with those you have lost in the process.
You will need to have 3 of each in your bag. Cuz you dont know whitch one will be destroyed.

BTW....The Q went "blue ?" after turn in. So dont bother anymore if you are after Loremaster ect.

Confirmed. Counts towards the Alliance Loremaster of Kalimdor and towards the Seeker.

Ugh. I wish there has been some indication that the pieces disappeared in the tooltip or something. I spent quite a while trying to figure out what went wrong. And I wholeheartedly agree. The drop rate is horrible. I had 8 cowls, and nothing else for the longest time.

As is pointed out in a post for the last quest in this chain, you actually need four complete sets of the cultist gear to complete the entire chain. You'll loose one set everytime you do a part, so while your farming if you want to do the whole chain, get 4 sets and hold onto the last one for the quest 'Signet of Dukes'.

As of 4/10/10, all of these still work and as a level 80 I was able to solo all of them without any gear changes in between. So no need to pause and switch gear if your highly geared of course.

Dukes of the Council

This quest was marked obsolete by Blizzard and cannot be obtained or completed.

Bring 1 Large Brilliant Shard and 3 Abyssal Crests to Aurel Goldleaf in Cenarion Hold.

Description

We think it is possible to use a wind stone to ambush a duke of the Abyssal Council. To do this, however, one must commune through the wind stone, and convince the council you are a middle ranked leader of the Twilight's Hammer.

Such a gambit requires a replica of the cult's medallion of station. I can create the medallion, but I will need a large brilliant shard, and crests worn by the Abyssal Templar.

Bring these to me and I will do the rest.
