You do get more of a reward from this than what is listed above.

Within 24 hours of turning in the texts, you'll get a letter from Ortell in the mail. Along with a letter, you'll get a package of documents that were supposedly translated from those texts.

Those will vary from decrypted texts that contain news about the Twilight Cultists, buff scrolls, and certain rare plans.

In fact, this is the only way to acquire "Darkrune" armor plans for blacksmiths, "Runed Stygian" armor patterns for tailors, and scrolls to create the "Crest of Beckonings" aside from camping out the AH for them.

This is also a repeatable quest, meaning you can keep turning in stacks of 10 encrypted twilight texts to Ortell instead of to the NPC in Cenarion Hold. However, while you will get items for the turn ins, you will not get any rep.

The drop rate on this quest sucks. You can get the first 8 in about 15 minutes but it takes another 45 to get the last 2.

If you are willing to do these quests, (with the texts). Stock yourself up for a long grind. This drop rate is horrible. I litterly stayed there lvl 57 shammy with lvl 55 warlock with me, i got 1 he got 4. We grinded for around 1 hour. Horrid.

You can find the Encrypted Twilight Text ( http://www.wowhead.com/?item=20404 ) by killing the twilight guards in the twilight post,base camp and outpost.

If you turn it in twice or more, do you get only 1 mailed item, or is it scaled by the number you actually turned them in?

This was not that bad. Me (56 hunter) and a 58 warlock did this and in 40 min we got 17 of them. But then again we killed every single one that we saw. But a tip stay on the outside and pull everything thing out its a lot safer. 40, 45 is the best place because there was no beasts a lil further out.

I just did this as a lvl 59 pally and it only took about 30 min to get all 10. I just ran around the outside of the area near Cenarion Hill and just kept going in circles.

If you are grinding Cenarion Circle rep, I do not recommend completing this quest. It does not give you any rep and it requires you to turn in 10 Twilight Texts, which if you turned them in to Bor Wildmane at Cenarion Hold, you would receive CC rep for them.

Do like jinnlord and alevizon said...Twilight Prophet has a 100% drop rate of Twilight texts, and it gives you between 7 and 12.

I found one at the southest Twilight camp. One kill gave me 7 Twilight texts.

I can confirm what they say about Prophète Twilight Prophet
I've just soloed it with my level 55 frost mage. Found her at 25 ; 40.4
I made a target macro and spammed it while exploring the area until I found her. She dropped 7texts.
Playing 3.3.5, she's a level 60 elite.

I went through the stack of texts you brought me and I decoded the attached articles for you. I carefully selected only those items which I thought would be of use. It was quite problematic to get to a mailbox without being seen, but months of hiding in the desert have turned me into quite a sneak!

As of patch 5.3 I have twice found the Twilight Prophet at 30.1, 71.0. He drops a varying number of these items but on my last attempt he dropped 8.

The quest location icon for this quest still appears on the Silithus map after the 7.3.5 patch changes, however you can no longer find the quest giver in this version of Silithus. You can still do this quest by talking to Zidormi first to get to the old Silithus.

Description

Now that I have the Twilight Lexicon in my possession, there is a small favor I'd like to ask of you.

My former organization has a secret encoded bulletin they circulate on a monthly basis.

If they make any progress searching for me or if they call off the search, word will be published on the True Believer.

Although this information is obviously valuable to me, the publication contains other useful information that I can share. Bring me any encoded texts you find on Twilight's Hammer members.
