Appears to have a bug when Alleria is meant to open portal.

Alleria wouldn't cast the portal for me. What worked was jumping at the top of the stairs nearest to her then doing no further movement inputs until the portal appeared and the quest completed.

Step on the teleport pad to teleport back into the city of Dalaran and then teleport back in and run down to her.

If you are bugged on this quest and the portal does not appear, go back up the stairs behind Alleria and come back down to her. Alleria would recast the portal and you should now see it.

DO NOT TAKE THE PORTAL TO DALARAN CRATER. i dropped the quest and picked it back up. rift showed up after that.

Where does one acquire this quest? Where is Alleria? In Valdrakken perchance? Does anyone have coords please?

It was bugged for me. I would get the dialog "Head through when you're ready" and then I'd see people disappearing all around me. I tried just dropping the quest and that didn't work. The next thing I tried was dropping the quest, making sure I had the ! and then logging out totally. I logged into and alt and then back out onto my main. I picked up the quest again (third time's the charm I guess) and it worked.

Alleria wouldn't do anything, so I abandoned, retook the quest, ran the long way down without jumping and it worked.

If Alleria doesn't open the portal, walk away a bit and return to her. Walking back to the center chamber's stairs worked for me. No need to over-exaggerate the distance for the sake of proving a point; any further than going back to Khadgar and it's time, not distance fixing the problem.

And as usual, if in doubt, abandon the quest and pick it back up.

How to get to her if you dropped the quest (because of a bug, or because you accidentally went into the Portal to Wyrmrest Temple :

Go to Dalaran (the Legion one, NOT the WotLK) with the Dalaran Hearthstone.

The entrance location is at:
/way 46.86 52.35

Stand onto the portal in the middle, and you're gonna get to the room where you can find Alleria Windrunner
She will open a portal named: Rift to Telogrus

Description
