I got tier 2 rewards for the week, can anyone confirm if that's the highest or is there tier 3 possible?

Edit: Did it again and now it says I earned Tier 3. Don't know what the break points are on participation for the Tier 3 tho

Edit 2: As xerty mentioned below, doing it in a raid is the way to go and seems to be the only chance of timing it for tier 4 rewards. There's an internal timer for different stages and if you haven't cleared enough levels before the timer it will move on and skip the miniboss making it impossible to get full rewards.

Group Finder > Premade Group > Custom is where ppl seem to be making them and they fill up fast so start looking ~5 min. before event starts. Tier 4 rewards gives a Champion 415 ilvl piece, 1000 rep, and 60 Unearthed Fragrant Coins so it's worth doing it this way if you're going to do it.

Shame Blizz couldn't make the best rewards more accessible or make the mechanics more understandable.

Quest is still bugged, did it first day on main no problem, now the timers are so ridiculous, sometimes just minutes cut off the timer for no reason, haven't been able to get tier 4 on any other toon despite 50+ people blasting all the mobs instantly.

Did it twice to no avail - both times on 8/12 Captain Reykal spawns - we kill him - then objective does not progress. This has clearly NOT been tested thoroughly. You should not launch to production with these kinds of major function-breaking bugs.

Event did not start for my realm yesterday May 10. Timer cycled through its whole countdown on the map, but nothing happened in the game world. I wonder if Blizzard turned it off to fix the bugs?

I have yet to see a single person doing this event. And have been unable to solo them. So that's fun.

It's bugged to all hell on Illidan.

A lot of the smaller events bug out too. Feels like playing on a private server.

There's a blue highlighted area behind the platform with no mobs. When there were mobs I killed a couple on my own (418 Rsham) and the meter didn't go up. So idk what the hell blizz is smoking but they need to fix these events.

Dragonflight 10.1 - Second Week - 5-11-2023

There is a reported issue with this quest. Blizzard has not commented on it yet. This is an instance, shard, server-related issue.

This quest works a lot like the event for Dragonbane Keep. But there is no option to queue for a group.

If you don't see any activity around you and have not seen any no matter what you do, follow these instructions:

From your main screen:
Hit "I" to bring up the "Looking for..." option
Click on the "Premade Groups"
Click on the "Custom" tab
Select the "Find Group" button
Type in "Researchers"

You will find at least one or more groups doing this quest. If you don't see one immediately, try starting your own group. This will be a matter of people being pulled together to one "shard."

Please don't give up until you find a group. It took me two days of fiddling with previous solutions to fix this. It finally took me barging into SoulSoBreezy - a WOW Content Provider's live Twitch to get a workable solution. He told me to try server/shard hopping. I was pulled into a raid group immediately. Four minutes later, it was done.

I highly recommend watching SoulSoBreezy* on Youtube and Twitch!

He has spent hours on the PTR learning the different systems and releases before the general player base sees them. He will forewarn or give details on how to work the system at the time of release. The details will be ready as you are starting on the content.

He breaks down the professions, especially with Dragonflight's complicated new system. When you are frustrated with the current release, you will find he is right there and frustrated too. But when things are going well, he will encourage and give details on how to get to the good stuff.

Soul is also very "chilled" in his approach to everything, so you will only see a minor loud outburst of excitement. Only with the most severe issues, "excited or frustrated," will you hear him cuss. This is a refreshing change from a good portion of other content providers for WOW.

He provides new content almost daily and does Twitch almost all afternoons.

He also interacts with other players in the game, not just a select group of his friends.

This event is up in Zaralek Caverns every hour on the half hour (12:30, 1:30, etc.)

The rewards scale based on number of objectives completed, out of 12 total:

Completing 3-5 objectives awards Researcher's Scrounged Goods
15xUnearthed Fragrant Coin
250 Loamm Niffen rep

Completing 6-8 objectives awards Appreciative Researcher's Scrounged Goods

30xUnearthed Fragrant Coin
500 Loamm Niffen rep

Completing 9-11 objectives awards Thankful Researcher's Scrounged Goods

45xUnearthed Fragrant Coin
750 Loamm Niffen rep

Completing 12 objectives awards Indebted Researcher's Scrounged Goods

60xUnearthed Fragrant Coin
1000 Loamm Niffen rep

All rewards also have a chance to drop gear, Flaming Shalewing Subject 01, Devourer Lobstrok, and Dragon Isles Supplies. It currently appears as though the higher tier rewards have a higher chance to drop the pet and mount.

These rewards are once per week, but you can re-run to get a higher tier reward if you didn't get it the first time. For example if you get a Thankful Researcher's Scrounged Goods you can repeat the event to get a Indebted Researcher's Scrounged Goods which will award an additional 15xUnearthed Fragrant Coin and an additional 250 Loamm Niffen rep.

For alts seems that if you didnt complete the introduction questlines the horn doesnt appear in the middle of your map.

Does anyone know if you had the Tier3 reward (with if not wrong veteran gear loot in the bag) and you re-do it for a chance at the Tier4, do you still get champion gear or is gear locked to one drop a week?

edit: PS: i know you can repeat it to get the additional rep/coins. i wonder if it also gives another shot at champion gear. alts would like it.

just to reply myself in case anyone is wondering as well. i did a second time, got 12/12 and had the heroic loot drop as well.

I have done this event soooo many times each day and I only ever get the tier 1 reward. I thought maybe the first week was buggy, but everyone is commenting on how they've gotten higher tier rewards. Am I doing something wrong? Please help!

Blizz needs to add a group finder mechanism for this like they have for group world quests. Literally impossible to solo, and I never see groups listed in the group finder for the event.

This is an absolutely horrible and long event you cant complete for the weekly Aiding The Accord as nobody wants to do it, and the mobs are so op.
Why do we no longer get the 5 world quest and 3000 rep? Why does it have to take an afternoon to get the weekly reputation quest done if possible to finish at all? Same with the Zskera vault, most key drop mobs cant be soloed, so you have to rely on luck to get that one done as there is nobody still doing that content either, it is a horrible mechanic as you are depending on other people to get weekly done, and if you aint johnny on the spot reset day, there is no way you will get it completed that week.

Incidently,i was johnny on the spot reset day, but event timer ran out,and nothing happened, the timer just reset.. No way am i standing around for half an hour for this bugged crap.

I am done with this expac and the many,many bugs.

When completing it may take a few minutes for the Quest to recognize the completion.

I'm at wits end with this game. Being given this objective tied to the Aid The Accord weekly, with absolutely no way to complete. No way is it soloable, no group option, and I'm yet to see a group in the group finder for it. Usually one or two other people show up and it's not nearly enough. I've wasted 1/2 hour twice today trying to complete this, all I got was broken gear with a big repair bill. I just can't help but feel this game is coming to a halt quickly. This is new content here and nobody is even doing it. I give up.............

The objective completion is your local completion not the servers. You get t4 reward if you get 12 objectives. You can redo the event to get a t4 reward

What a terrible game design... Zaralek Cavern has been over-tuned from the start, and this event is no exception. This event is impossible to solo, especially on an alt that isn't fully geared yet. This makes being in a low-pop server that much more frustrating. On top of that, being one of many time-wasting events linked to the Aiding the Accord weekly is just the next slap in the face from blizzard. This place could stand to get nerfed or scale better with item level, and get un-linked from the weekly.

Is there supposed to be a meter that shows up or any kind of direction on what you're supposed to do with this? I got to the area with 7 minutes left and there was no sign of what I was supposed to do. I tried killing some Sundered Flame mobs but nothing triggered or showed up at all. Then the timer ran out and reset on the map and...nothing else happened.

For me at least, this is no longer showing up on the caverns map unless I am actually in the caverns (less than 1 week after 10.2 patch). Might be fixed later though.

Have never been able to do this event because no one joins my group and I can't solo it.
I am ilvl 467 never seen a single person doing this and Im on the 2nd most populated server in NA (Illidan). God forbid you cant play the day it released because the content is already forgotten about.

Not sure if the WoW Devs read these things, and I might post this on the forums too, but they desperately need to rescale the requirements for this event. Loamm Niffen are still an important valuable faction for crafters - they're a big source of profession knowledge - and Researchers Under Fire is a huge contributor to the weekly renown quest. It's almost impossible to get a reasonably sized group for this now, and even with a raid of 8 - 10, the timed segments are unachievable. It's certainly very rare to get the Indebted Researcher's Gift these days.

I show up 5 minutes early, wait for the timer to hit 0, and then it resets.

As of April 16, 2024, no one does this event anymore. Waiting around on a weekday OR weekend does nothing. No one signs up for it, so waiting for others to join is pointless.

This will be another event that if I have nothing better to do, I might happen to return to years from now when I am ten levels higher, have better gear, and can solo 8 to 10 elite mobs on my own.

Edited to add:

Any attempt to kill a single non-elite mob to try and wear down the group of enemies means that an AOE pops overhead, stunning me, and killing me instantly. There is no way to dodge this or to escape death.

400 repair bill after 6 attempts.

This event is not worth anything.

Blizzard does not know how to construct solo events.

Time ran out on the event. Killing a few non-elite mobs was not enough to get credit for anything.

This is worthless.

Dont do it in Season 4 if u want a gear upgrade this event still drops Item lvl 385 from season 2
