Kill 5 rares (8 sparks each) and do one world quest (10 sparks each). Unlike other zones, there are very few world quests in forbidden reach, and no "disturbed dirt" to dig with. You're definitely in bad luck if there's no players of the same faction, as no one can help you kill rares, while other players always want to kill you for sparks. Killing rares in raid team won't give you any sparks. Personally speaking, this is the worst of the five sparks-of-life quests.

Edit: the envoy quest gives 10 each. Avoid the centaur because they want you to kill the rares, and who need to queue up for rares (but not in raid team) are those overwhelmed by too many players from opposite faction. You won't have any progress as aforementioned difficulties unless someone in realm with dominating faction is doing charity.

Although you will not see an indicator on your map, Fieldmaster Emberath in the Gladiator's Refuge in Valdrakken is able to accept turn-in for this.

He is the same NPC who you turn in the other Sparks of Life: Zone quests to.

With the release of the Zaralek Cavern expansion there are no ”Sparks of Life” quest givers in Gladiator’s Refuge.

Went to upgrade a new wpvp Scalewarden piece. Corxian showed a price of 10 Trophy of Strife. I had more, but couldn’t upgrade the piece.

I hope they retain “Sparks of Life” quests and use Trophy of Strife as the upgrade currency.

Just a tip to make your life easier if you are on a server where people don't hunt the rares, go to the auction house and buy several items like the Amplified Quaking Stone, they are cheap and you can easily solo these rares for the 8 sparks, do the race and be on about your day.

The emissary quests from Dragonscale, Iskarra, and Valdrakken each gave me 10 sparks. The Maruuk one probably does but I haven't tried it.
