While you can't get quest completion credit in a raid, you CAN kill most of it in a raid, and then drop group at around 5% and you'll still get quest completion credit without having to deal with most of the battle royale (assuming your group holds the center).

If you are not seeing the world quest, first go to stormwind/orgrimmar and turn on war mode, then go back to valdrakken and start flying out of the zone, quest should pop up once you change area away from the city itself

Seems like faction tagging is in effect for this WQ. You will have to kill the Horde/Alliance who have the tag before you can get credit for it...unless I was just unlucky, and it was some other reason the mob stayed greyed out for me.

This quest currently does not work. I have killed Tarolekk thrice now, and have received loot for killing him every time. I am not in a raid group, or any group at all, and have not received credit for the world quest.

Hands down the worst design of any WQ I've ever seen.

WQ doesn't pop til you leave the city.
Atrocious phasing where people who grouped with me couldn't even see the mobs after multiple relogs / leaving the area and coming back.
Every player in the ring is hostile to every other non-grouped player, including faction allies.
Surrounded by elite mobs.
No flying inside the ring.
Took 5 minutes just to leave the area and get back to normal activities after finally getting a tag.

/spit /spit /spit on this WQ.

Echoing what others have said, I did not get credit for this world quest even though I got A Champion's Pursuit as soon as Tarolekk died. I didn't bother sticking around to try to kill him again due to the reward only being a few Primal Chaos for me, but it would be super frustrating if the reward were something more valuable to me.

That said, I didn't have quite as much trouble getting out of the arena as some of the others here. If you're a mobile class and have engineering, you can sometimes run far enough away (use cc/slows liberally) to use one of the fast-casting teleports that work even in combat (e.g. Argus or Kul Tiras/Zandalar) and then from there hearth or whatever to get back to your normal activities.

It seems like your group has to get the first hit on the boss before anyone else.. some fellow hordies swooped in and killed me when it was at 20%, and then even though I could loot the boss after he died, I didn't get quest credit. This happened twice, before I coincidentally happened to tap the boss first and then kill it.

I realize this is a PVP area so you're hostile to everyone, but if you're out here actually targeting people from your faction instead of the boss, stopping your "allies" from completing the WQ, come on guys, let's be sort of civil

Still not getting credit for this. Was solo and not in a group/raid. Could still be the contract bug, or something else.

There’s really only one way to play this if you’re not a mazzo-PvP-junkie type; fly into the arena from the north to north-east side. You’ll see a large hut on that edge of the ring with a spear point at the top. This will keep you out of the no-fly-zone so land near the top of the roof and wait. It’s high enough that the mobs won’t aggro so the only problem might be any PvP sadists who want to fly in and take you out for the fun of it.

When your faction tags Tarolekk wait until he’s down in health (10% will do if he’s really close and you can cast a fast instant on him). Fly down off your perch and tag him quickly as possible. Count on dying shortly thereafter so try to return to the previously mentioned hut; if you die close enough you can land on top of the hut to rez and simply fly away. You can opt to loot Tarolekk for anything he might drop but the main WQ prize should be in your bags.

When doing the quest today, I have killed tarolekk four times without credit. Twice entirely solo with no one else around, and twice in a group. All times he has not been greyed out and I received no credit whatsoever. So definitely seems bugged as of 9/1/23

Seems to require lvl 70 ...
Even tho lower levels can seen the WQ on big map. (Wich is probably bug)

It's so idiotic that this quest was designed with a faction tag, if they are going to stick the objective non-soloable mini-raid boss in a factionless free for all PvP arena. How did anyone think this was a good or logical design?

Did they just move the trolls responsible for the Legion Kirin Tor and BfA Tortollan quests over to PvP WQ design in DF?
