The video shows the item at the Waking Shores. My map shows it at Uktulut Pier. The transport mentioned in the quest text was not at either pier. I had to wait for it to arrive at the Waking Shores and then it was floating in the water. You can ride the transport and the item appears when it arrives at the Waking Shores.

You have to wait for the boat to arrive at the dock, then the kite is attached at the back of the boat.

It takes a long time, but I promise it's going to arrive eventually. I think I must have been waiting 20 minutes. It only stayed for a minute.

Just... keep waiting.

To clarify, when the turtle stops at a port, the kite will drop into the water, that's when you grab it.

The "lost" kite is actually just misplaced. You can find it tied to the back of the Lost Arvillo, which is the giant turtle boat that goes back & forth between Uktulut Pier and Uktulut Outpost in Waking Shores. When the boat comes to a stop at either location, the kite floats down into the water and you can pick it up. The clickable area is pretty small, so aim for the middle of the kite.

If you are bored and on the boat waiting - you can SURF from the back. grab a board from next to the Arvillo Wavechasers on the one side of the boat, then go to the back. Click the gear on one of the posts on the back, and surf away! There are 2 controls: regain balance and regain footing. :)

Sadly, no achievement for doing it or staying on the board for the whole 20 min. trip. But it was neat - and you get flavor text and see a pod of dolphins. :)

This was the first time I waited for this ferry. And heck yes, turtle cruise "ship"!

I chatted with all the NPCs, drank tea, "surfed" off the stern, and sunbathed on the sun deck. Thanks for the fun, dev team!

When boat arrives you should click on Tuskarr Kite in water behind boat. If you are not able to click on it, just go more under water and try to move around Tuskarr Kite until its lootable cos you are able to loot it as soon as boat arives. (Try to be fast, boat can ride away and you must wait next 20 minutes.)

Don't be like me and try to locate the boat while it is moving. You HAVE to wait for the boat to be stationary and docked for the kite to fall from the air into the water. When it is in the water it will become clickable. I tried going to the boat while it was traveling and the kite was unclickable flying behind the boat.

I am thinking this is bugged as of 12/15/22. I moved around above the water, below the water, all around the kite and couldn't click it. The gear NEVER colored.

I wasn't being able to click the kite even though I was standing on it. So I moved my cursor around and it worked fine on the tail of the kite.

It's hard to gauge the full waiting time for the boat to arrive but when I got there, it was about 5 minutes left and it appears to be in the last 10%. so mouse over the timer and do other things in the meantime

I think the easiest way of completing it is search for the Lost Arvillo and stay on the boat. That way you will automatically be on the way to the closest port.

As a side note, even if the quest circle appears at one dock or the other, you can still loot the kite from either stop...

Hi all

On This Quest You need to pick up Lost Tuskarr Kite xD. Is attached to a boat that sails around the continent O_o. You have few points on map to pick it up but go where is showing quest ( is showin next spot ). Boat need to stop You can't collect item when sails. O_o Lost Tuskarr Kite is on back on boat You need to get to water. Boat is sail slowwwwwwwwwwwwwww You can wait even 10 min O_o. My Boat stop at /way 16.15 87.77

This is truly an annoying quest. I don't mind the wait, as I can fish, but what I do mind is that I cannot click on the damned kite. I get the hand icon, but it is gray. It never lights up no matter where I move. I've tried this at two different ports.

There are "Sunning Towels" on the upper stern deck. You can click on them and you'll be undressed and sunbathing on the towels. Dark Iron Dwarves are *not* mend to lay in the sun!

As of 08.04.2023 after trying and trying this stupid kite i joinde the boat for a raid and then Happy me i mange to pick up this Kite :-)

Jumped on the boat at the dock, was unable to loot the kite. I jumped OFF my dragon jumped in the water and was able to loot the kite. Looks like if your mounted you can't loot, or it's very hard. I did this all before the boat even left the dock

29 September 2023: I just had the weirdest experience, trying to do this quest, which was trivial before. I had to wait roughly 13 minutes for the boat to arrive. When it did, I dove into the water to collect the kite and got disconnected.

Relogged and again disconnected, Relogged and again disconnected.

By the 4th time I relogged my body had been under water for so long I died. Apparently the breath exhaustion kept ticking during the disconnects. Long corpse run, as the nearest graveyard is in the Obsidian Citadel. Coming back to the spot where I died, I could not rezz. Looks like the game saw my body as on the boat (which it was not) and the boat had gone off to Uktulut Pier. When checking the map I could indeed see my gravestone making excruciatingly slow progress along the coastline between Uktulut Pier and Uktulut Outpost

When the boat arrived I could indeed rezz and collect the kite to complete the quest. A quest that should only have taken a minute max, not counting the waiting time for the boat, but now took me close to half an hour.

Wait for the boat to arrive and board it. Go out to the back of the ship via a little tunnel off the left of the bridge. You should see a rope cast into the water, holding the kite underwater (like an anchor rope). HOP OFF and into the water to click the KITE, not the rope. Loot and turn in.
