At first this confused me, but what you do is use Toothpick's World Shaker ability in just the right spot, and an anima container will pop up.

You can continue digging in the same place potentially by using the map to your advantage. If the quest circle is still there, you can continue digging up anima until it's all gone and the circle disappears.

I found that if you stand on the corpse of the Consumed Hopebreaker (loc 46.03, 67.41) you can use Toothpick's ability there repeatedly.

Make sure you turn and scan your surroundings.. using the ability there also spawned anima containers up near the area with Gargon Soulstalkers.

It is really really precise where you can use toothpick's world shaker ability. like the others are saying you get to use it multiple times before the golden diamond or circle on the world map moves to another place. it will spawn anima cages like from the dungeons or areas of Revendreth.

Once you have Toothpick as your companion, fly to Revendreth and start using its ability in the indicated areas of the map. Venthyr-style animal canisters will appear for you to collect (though you may have to try a number of times in the same area).

There is also a chance to spawn 'buried cache'

If you get out there and you cannot find Toothpick's ability action button or it is missing, use this to get him to bring out the anima cache:
/use world shaker

The locations where you can find the anima canisters are marked on your minimap by circles. Thicker lines = more canisters available. Ideally you want to use World Shaker in a location where multiple circles are overlapping.

My companion was bugged, if you press "world shaker" ability and nothing happens, dismiss her and use the quest item again to summon.
Mine worked that way.

I think this quest is a load of crap.

Tried it in seven different circles - standing dead center to them. Used Toothpicks ability 4-6x on each one and got NOTHING. My time may not matter to Blizz, but it does to me.

I'm really tired of the buggy Shadowlands quests, have to check WoWhead to see what's what. If I can't tell if the quest is broke, I'm doing it wrong or it's another find 10 antelope horns if you kill 50-100 antelope you might get a drop, but this is not fun.

Toothpicks quest in Ardenweald was bad enough, this one in Revendreth is a major PiA.

EDIT: Left the area, dismissed Toothpick yada yada yada... Came back and took another stab at it, and finally started getting mites and anima canisters (in the overlapping rings someone had mentioned here).

Then was d/c'd from the game - came back to a quest complete. Go figure. Apparently Toothpick did some digging while I was reloading into the game.....

This has to be one of the buggiest/weirdest quests I've seen in an expansion full of bugs.

Get to Revendreth, have Toothpick summoned and you'll see an action button on your screen for World Shaker.

Go to the quest area and you'll see a ton of circles on your screen. This is where it gets weird (or buggy). If you go into a circle and press World Shaker and you're lucky you'll see Anima cannisters or if you're really lucky you'll see a chest (the one chest I got was full of stuff). Sometimes you won't see either. If you get stuff the circle sometimes doesn't go away and sometimes it does. If it doesn't you don't have to move and you can press World Shaker. again. Until the circle goes away.

What's really weird is as you move along look behind where you've been and sometimes you'll see Anima cannisters or chests where nothing showed up before. This is how I found my chest.

Just another buggy feature from our overpaid friends at Blizzard.

The action button isn't showing up for Toothpick. Turned off all my add-ons and quite quest, got quest again and nothing. Dismissed Toothpick and resummed, nothing. This is so aggravating. What am I not get the action option to do this quest?

Transplanting info from the other Toothpick quest, Old Stomping Grounds, merging and rephrasing the comments by Ondfisk and DeferFM:

Make sure you have enabled Track Quest POIs in your tracker, the magnifying glass at the minimap.
That way, you'll see the hotspots where you can find Anima Caches as circles. You can often stomp twice at each circle, as two hotspots overlap. The blue circle will be thinner if it's only one hotspot (remaining)

I have had this quest for months and couldn't figure out why I don't even see the circles.....You need to go to tracking in your minimap and make sure Track Quest POIs is selected.

If you get near to the questmarker, multiple circles will appear. Use your extra button to reveal the anima caches. You may have to try 2-3 times for something to appear. It looks like this quest was broken, looking at other comments but I had no problems at all.

The Anita canisters that you need are random, glowing, and spread about The Banewood area, if you can’t find them…move to another area..YOU MUST HAVE TOOTHPICK OUT for the anima canisters to phase in

I dont get these circles on the map to see where i should use this ability...all addons deactivated and still nothing. have to run around like a complete idiot to find something. its another failed quest design, imo. thanks for not testing this crap enough before release. takes me over 30 minutes to find 15 containers. absolute waste of time with you alone and no one else to profit from their "functional" quest markers

Description
