How to do Allay Their Fears:

grab Korinna's Allaying Crook at /way 51,3, 59,6
kill mobs and use Korinna's Allaying Crook until reach 100% on progress bar
go to /way 49,6, 59,9 and finish the ritual

So, we kill these things to get their anima, then use the ritual to lay them to rest with their anima. That sounds so... human. I'm just so glad I'm a Blood Elf :D

You will enter at 51.29, 59.71 and it is down the path from the road close to the WQ icon. Once there you will pick up the crook which looks like a staff in a bubble. From there you will kill mobs and then click the staff absorbing their energy. Once you have it fully charged make your way to 49.57, 59.9, and for those without coordinates it'll be where you picked up the crook you'll head down into the area and turn left where you'll see a pillar. Once you are in the spot you'll see a small blue circle on the ground where you will stand in it and activate the button to empty the crook and complete the WQ.

Coordinate Locations for TomTom/Paste:

/way #1533 51.29, 59.71 Allaying Crook
/way #1533 49.57, 59.90 Ritual

Note: Used Zone # since Blizzard used Bastion multiple times and TomTom can't find the zone correctly.

You only get 5 anima per kill. However if you stand on top of the "blue orbs" when you absorb, you also get another 5.

I click on the staff then try to move to mobs and kill them only to have the quest seemingly reset before I can get to mobs and kill them.

What am I doing wrong?

Hi all

On This WQ You need to do in order:

1. Pick Up Korinna's Allaying Crook 51 59
2. Kill mobs and use on them corps Korinna's Allaying Crook to charged it.
3. go to 49 59 you will see blue mark on ground use Korinna's Allaying Crook ( Extra bar ) wait few sec and is done.

You might have to use the item in your bag. The quest bar icon was not working for me.

If you're lazy and don't want to look this up... get the quest from a big angel. Kill anima-starved mobs and suck anima from them with your staff until you hit 100/100. Then, pretend you are where you were when you talked to the angel to get the quest, and go down the hill, taking the LEFT hand fork. You will see a large placement of 3 pillars and a square rug on the floor. On the rug, there is a swirly looking portal (small) to stand on where your Extra Action Button will light up to show the Crook. Click it! Boom, done. There may be a few mobs by it, but no more than 4 or you probably went too far!

If the last part of the quest seems buggy or the extra button doesn't show up try reloading and disabling all addons. Helped for me.

Hey look, another world quest with in game directions that mean absolutely nothing and has contradictory uses of items. One in your bag, the other on your action bar when you get there. Ain't SL grand?

Mobs don't spawn very fast which makes this quest miserable if you're on an unbalanced server, particularly as a melee character.

If you are on a server where your faction is the minority, this can be an awful quest. The other faction tags all the mobs before you can get there. I found a small temple like structure where I can just sit and wait for a couple mobs to spawn, only way I could get any quest credit.

Why is this WQ so popular? Literally every time I go to do it, the area is flooded with players, 30-40 or more, and it's insanely hard to tag anything.

Currently my most hated WQ in Shadowlands.

This quest is incredibly poorly designed. The quest area is close to a transport hub, so a lot of people can get there quickly. It is a small quest area with mobs that seems to respawn relatively slower than other places. The quest is very poorly explained; most people never find out that you can pick up the extra globes of anima if you kill the creatures near them, there are two separate crooks to use in the quest - one is a quest item and one is a quest action button. And of course very little of what you actually have to do is explained.. Yet for some reason - as if this quest wasn't horibble enough - it often seems to have a high anima reward meaning you'll miss out on what is currently the most annoying ressource to grind if you skip it.

This needs an overhaul badly.

I was confused about how to charge the staff. Turns out, when you kill one of the Anima starved critters, and then click on your staff icon, that’s when the staff is partially charged. Each death is about 5 percent. So, ideally you’re getting credit for the kills AND charging your staff. Like most all of these quests, it’s not buggy. You just need to be patient, try things out and yes, check this website. We learn from one another. That’s one of the underlying wonders of this game.

It appears that sometimes the staff becomes 'stuck' at 95% and can't be charged anymore, thus preventing you from completing the quest. Sheesh...

The extra meter for this and Ritual of the Damned 3. Seeking the Baron is missing if using Bartender 4 or Dominos. CT has a real clunky bar mod, but it works and the meters and the box at the end of this quest showed up. Though I think dominos would show the box I had switched to Bartender though. I am now setting up CT Bar Mod and CT Bottom Bar Mod on my characters. I already was using the CT Buff Mod.

in the final step, it took me a few goes. make sure no mobs around and the "release" takes a few seconds. seems buggy

For some reason the Crook has a lvl 60 requirement but I get access to this WQ at lvl 58. wth?

If you get this quest, aren't level 60 yet, and the staff gives you the error that you must be level 60 to use it, leave the area until the item disappears from the questlog and then return back to the area and it should allow you to use it.

Sometimes, this world quests bugs. Once the meter is filled up, and one places oneself in the swirly spot to start the ritual, the game seems to assume that one is still in need to collect more anima, and my character keeps voicing out that I need a target. This may have to do with addons built in and having the single action button for the world quest have the same looking icon for gathering anima as the icon for starting the ritual.

I tried doing a '/console reload' and that didn't work. However, logging out and back into the world fixed it for me.

This is the sixth world quest in Bastion in a row that I've been confused about where to go, what to do, and had to look it up on Wowhead because I was tired of flying around with NO INDICATOR WHATSOEVER of wtf is going on.

Is Bastion somehow worse than all the other areas?

Do people not use PTR to test stuff and leave comments or does Blizzard just ignore them all and never fix anything?

At this point I think Wowhead could charge me like ANOTHER $ sum a month and it would basically be necessary to play the game so I would have to pay it just to play WoW. I'm very grateful they haven't done that.

So i came here to confirm, because once again i'm doing this quest and NO ONE is dragging creatures to the orbs.

When u use the crook to absorb anima off the corpses you will absorb nearby orbs. Pull the creatures to the orbs, kill them there, you will complete the quest 10 times as fast.

(another thing Literally No One seems to realize is that in elite areas the exploding barrels STun nearby enemies for like 10 seconds and make them take 50% more dmg. I keep seeing people blow them up without dragging mobs to them)

hope blizzard learns I shouldn't have to look up a wq on wowhead or youtube to learn how to complete it. They've really dropped the ball on so many wqs.

Quest appears bugged today (11/1/22) on NA servers. Likely a bug from Dragonflight Pre-Patch. Please place bug report tickets.

Beware: If you leave the quest area, the staff disappears as well as your fill-bar..
