The drop rate, much like the other dailies from the anima conductor, seems to be around 30%.
There's a great area just below Heart of the Forest with lots of smaller moths (Honeydew Sporeflutter) clumped up around trees, they seem to be the best bet for getting this done quicker.

I had good success with this quest just south-east of The Stalks mushroom network. Pulling moths in packs of 2-3 netted me between 3-8 scales each time, and the aggressive mobs are really easy to avoid so you'll only need to fight the moths.

I love Shadowlands because it lets us revisit and reminisce about older content, remeet the characters we've lost along our journey. These daily quests let us revisit the time of Classic, and let us reminisce about the horrible quest design of "Go there and gather 30 of this, but actually kill 100 of them because the droprate is atrocious". Oh how far we've come.

Yes, this quest is brutal because of the number of items required to complete it and therefore the number of mobs that need to be killed. The area around (43, 60) isn't too bad though. The Honeydew Sporeflutterer have relatively low health and are plentiful. good luck

This quest, and others from the Hibernal Hollow Anima Conductor, tend to take a long time to complete either due to low drop rates, large amount of drops required, or slow spawning/difficult to find quest mobs. The main payoff though is a huge amount of reputation for a daily quest. For non-humans this gives a very significant 750 rep. Yes it takes a long time but the main benefit is that you can go from revered to exalted in two weeks, if you do them consistently, with just two quests. Afterwards I imagine the only reason to do them will be if you're in desparate need of Grateful Offering which both dailies tend to give three of.

got like 30min to spare? good!,you can do this quest that need 30 and you can get them 1 by 1 and they are not 100% drop, ty blizzard I would be back 100% for sure.

Look for Illusory Ardenmoths. Their health is low so you can kill them much quicker. There seems to be a lot southwest of Dreamsong Fenn in the V-shape of the river. The mobs are much denser here and seem to have a higher drop rate. After spending an hour down by Hibernal Hollow I was able to finish my quest here within minutes.

i got all 30 wings in relatively short time (~30 min) around 41.61, 39.66 and 35.20, 41.01

I don't know what they were thinking with these quests, they'd make more sense if you had a week to do them. Like all quests from this hub, drop rates are ridiculous and it takes a disproportionate amount of time in relation to reward. I now avoid all of them.

I love this quest. I am WFH for 8 hr. And it has many downtime that I have to wait for work . This quest can make me past time a lot. And before I know it , Work has pass for Hours and this quest still not done.........

Best spot i've found is 41.41, 39.34 there are about 10 moths that spawn

Twilight Glitterwings around the Grove of Awakening have a very high drop rate (average of over 1 per kill).

I hate Shadowlands world quests and dailies.

I had no problem with the design of world quests and dailies in Legion/BfA, this expansion it is just horrible.

I love quests like this; a bit more effort, but very rewarding. 750 rep with one faction, 175 with another, a reasonable amount of Anima and a few of a special currency? Sign me up! Wish Blizzard would do more like this. High effort & time investment is absolutely fine if the reward is appropriate - which this quest most certainly is.

It is very unusual having low drop rate items these days though. It would make far more sense to the current state of the game if they were guaranteed drops with a chance at 2, but you needed a higher quantity.

Just north of the Dreamsong Fenn is a great spot to farm this quest, but it's best paired with doing other Ardenweald activities.

This quest sucks - too few mobs in any one area, drop rate sucks, takes a while to complete all for terrible rewards.

Oh - and you have to upgrade your sanctum anima conductor to even get this quest.

The easiest was to kill Vibrant Ardenmoths near Dreamsong Fenn, each dropped 2 to 4 pieces of wings. Done in about 3-4 minutes.
