To complete this quest you need use Purification Fetish on Gweyir until reach 100% in the Ritual of Purification.
If you not see Gweyir change your Warmode to On in Stormwind/Orgrimmar.

I had tried switching to WM, came back and Gweyir still wasn't there. I tried to do this several times. On the last attempt, I decided to try an added step. I flew into another flightpath outside of the covenant, and rode in to the objective locale, and Gweyir was there. So I don't know if it was because I rode into the area from outside the covenant to assist with the phasing, or if it was the switching on and off WM multiple times. My advice, if you having issues, is to keep trying. I strongly feel its a phasing issue, so anything you can do to get the appropriate phasing to pop, should work. I also heard that grouping up with another person not having the issue works.

WM On, abandon quest and take it again. Thats what worked for me

9th October on Beta.

Picked up the quest on WM off, tp'd to SW went WM on, went back there, didn't appear. Abandoned the quest, then the NPC appeared and re-picked the quest and completed it.

Still broken as of October 19th on Beta. Turned WM on, abandoned quest, and then re-accepted it.

I was able to log out and back in (not in WM), and she appeared.

Logging off and repicking up the quest made her appear for me 11/1/2020.

This still seems to be bugged on live, except you cannot abandon the quest. Attempt the methods below to see what works for you.

I saw her and was able to do the ritual up to 75%... then she died and now I can't complete it...?

Edit: Went and turned on WM and she's there again. Was able to do the last 25% before she died again.

As of 12/22 I was WM off, on the last wave of channeling and the person despawned leaving me at 93% complete.

Turning on WM and coming back brought the person back so I could channel again and complete the quest.

Kept disappearing, had to turn on WM to see her. Started the ritual, she died before the quest was completed. I turned off WM and she appeared again and I was able to complete the quest. Bug reported to Blizz.

Channel the ability again as soon as it's off cooldown regardless if you have killed the adds or not. She dies when too long goes by without using the channeled ability.

Bugged the first time I tried. Was only able to get to 25% before the guy disappeared. Went to Oribos and came back and was able to complete it.

Another poorly designed quest with bugs on top. Gweyir died the first time at 50%. Every time I used the purification rod, more enemies spawned so there were no "waves" per se. I had to go out of zone every time the NPC died and come back to keep it going. Did they actually test this on a character that didn't 1-shot everything?

I also had the NPC disappear, logging, reloading and going to another zone and returning did not fix it, however turning off warmode immediately had her phase back in, allowing me to complete the quest.

Channel on cooldown, even if you haven't killed the mobs yet.

I was in War Mode when I was doing this quest, Gweyir despawned after channeling for the first time. I turned War Mode off right there and then, ta-da he spawned. Just in case anyone's stuck like me.

Queued for a random dungeon, finished it, came back, and it worked again. I did not turn on WM like some of the other commenters.

The way this should work...

First, make sure you've got the quest The Broken Spear or it won't' even start.

Then use the totem you get for channeling, it will start a group of mobs that you have to kill. Once you kill them the progress bar will go up 25% (so you have to do this 4 times). After you kill this group use the totem again and a new group will appear. Once all 4 groups are killed you win.

From a story wise and common sense wise perspective kind of funny. Ysera and Herne just stand there while you do the killing (par for this game). Also, kind of funny that you're finally trying to figure out a way to cure these fae, while you've been told the entire time they are uncurable (and killed tons). Would have been kind of sad if you found out you could have cured them.

Unbelievable. All that crap you go through, only to have her just up and die anyway. Why can't we ever save anyone from any kind of corruption, without killing them?

Im unsure whether it has something to do with addons like Dominos, but sometime the extra button for the totem doesnt spawn, and may need a few abandon and repick of the quest to show.

Just sharing.

An action buttons becomes available. You do not need to move at all, click the button and kill all that comes against you

Ritual of Purification

On 1 November 2021, I had the issue where in spite of Gweyir being purified to 100% of his health,

the quest just would NOT complete.

Entering "/reloadui" (without the quotation marks) in the chat pane solved the issue.

After the reload, a single additional use of the Purification extra-action button resulted in a successful completion.

I'm really stuck. The quest wants me to Ritual of Purification, but I have nothing to use for it. If I had it, it's gone. I've dropped the quest, logged and it simply isn't there. Frustrating, as this blocks the Covenant line.

worst quest line ever. This is deliberately awful. It isn't even creative. It's just - here go get this in the middle of that elite mob. I mean write a story or something!

Description

I have finished making preparations for the ritual. The moment of truth has come. The Drust fetish that Ulfar gave you will channel the ritual's power into Gweyir. It should counteract the curse that imprisons her mind. This will not be pleasant. It may not even work. But this is the only chance we have to free her.
