Not sure on the exact conditions but having choosen the Darkwing Aggressor each day I seem to be getting a new ability each day.

This WQ seems bugged, after finishing it the same WQ appears later that day with already completed objectives, allowing you to get reward immediately!

What exactly are you supposed to do on this quest after choosing a trainee?

Darkwing Aggressor is the superior choice here, he's cleaving through mobs like butter, while Assassin relies more on single striking and then aoe.

I select this anima conductor zone but i dont have any wq in map

You do have to target the mobs or at least one entity in the group. Use a tab for the closest or click on one in the group. Then like a warrior's Whirlwind, it will catch all the mob around you.

I did notice I got more skills the more times I did this. It also seemed I got stronger. When I started, it was slow and cumbersome and would take about 5-6 minutes. It comes down to learning the buttons and how the NPC moves. You will hit the STONE multiple times, and that is so frustrating. I didn't put this alt into the game full-time until about three months before DF was released. By the time I left Shadowlands after the new release, this quest had taken me less than 3 minutes.

I used both NPCs equally to say I had done both. In the end, I always used the Darkwing Aggressor. As he got stronger, his flying/jumping into a mob tended to eliminate everyone. The bigger the group, the faster it ends.

Note: If you are using one of the add-ons that show ALL the quests in a zone like Completionist or go through the WOW achievements and are looking for this... as previously mentioned, if you are not a part of the Court of Havestors, or you don't have the Anima Conductor to level 2 and going to the tower through this area, you will not get this.
