Void tears are a really good way of farming these. Most of the mobs that come out drop them (3-4 per tear).

I'm assuming that these only drop from mobs that are in the MAJOR assault zone at the time you are doing it. So for me, at the time of this post, that means I have to farm them in V.O.E.B. rather than in Uldum. When you get this quest, that might not be the case. If you're not sure which zone is the MAJOR assault and which is the MINOR assault, just look on the Wowhead homepage.

For doing it in Uldum, I recommend "Akhenet Fields (54, 50) and just kill Foul Observers. There's plenty of them and they are easy to kill

There are several mobs the flesh will drop from that don't indicate it with the mouseover tooltip although they do have the quest aura under their bodies. Faceless abominations, foul observers, various k'thir minions (dudes with the Cthulhu tentacles for faces) and fleshbeasts all drop it. Drop rate seems to be 100% no matter which you choose to attack. I found it curious though that the fish didn't drop it. Other mobs show the quest aura that don't drop it at all though like the slime bubbles that you usually find near fleshbeasts.

Btw you can't do the quest when you are in a group. I tryed it but nothing droped, got the first one instantly after I left the group.

Collect 12 pieces of Corrupted Flesh from creatures in areas under assault by N'Zoth's minions.

Description

You know, it occurred to me that since this creature has been imbued with void energy, it may prefer a more... corrupted food source. I speak, of course, of the Minions of N'Zoth. It's a long shot, but it's worth a try.
